Mr Smith has inspired and encouraged both of my children to learn and progress with the violin. He always provides fun lessons for them keeping them motivated. Mr Smith has taught my children both in school and virtually and I can confirm he has the patient of a saint and is a truly excellent violin teacher.

Mr Smith has been teaching both my children the piano and he has really ignited a passion in them for playing the instrument and music. He is an excellent teacher who tailors his teaching to suit each individual child to bring out the best in them. He has given them opportunities to perform at school to develop their confidence in performing as well. We are very grateful for all his ongoing hard work and dedication.

Richard is an excellent violin teacher, he has taught my daughter for a number of years now and has always been patient and flexible. Not only does she enjoys learning how to play the violin but she also likes to know and understand the history behind the different styles of music and Richard is very good at teaching both.

My daughter loves her weekly violin lessons. She has a joint 30 min lesson with her friend and they have learnt to play beautifully together as well as solo. Mr Smith makes all lessons enjoyable and is amazing at doing occasional online lessons, even at extremely short notice!

My daughter started her violin lessons with Richard two years ago (2019). Richard is well experienced working with children and is very good at keep them motivated and focused. My daughter really enjoys playing violin and is making steady progress. Richards violin lessons and orchestra sessions played a huge part in keeping some normality and routine going for the children during lockdown. Highly recommended.

Mr Smith has been teaching my son for the last 3 years firstly in violin and now also piano. Richard is always very patient and explains things well and even through the trials and tribulations of lockdown he has maintained an excellent level of teaching and professionalism.
