Harrington Tea Room

Lovely tea rooms within Elvaston country park downside can't take pushchairs in due to fire code that needs to be looked at.

We visit this regularly and whilst the quality is great and prices are about right, the service and waiting times are excruciatingly slow! We visited today before the lunchtime rush and waited 45 mins for 2 Paninis. Fortunately our kids chose to be very patient. It was disappointing that the staff got defensive rather than aplolgetic when we questioned the delay. This experience isn't a one-off that's the normal experience.

Awful experience and will never ever step foot in this place again.I ordered crumpets for my toddler....they came out UNCOOKED! And when I asked the lady to take them back she said well I didn't cook them"....errrr precisely! When they were brought back out there was NO apology at all - just plonked on the table like it was my fault!The girl also called me a liar by saying that the lady on the till told me they didn't have any brown cobs - she didn't at all (in fact she joked oh yes they are healthier!).They have a captive audience so they are busy and can charge and behave how they like!Shocking!"
