Very nice butcher’s shop. On street parking right outside. Staff are friendly and knowledgeable and there is a large selection of meats, cheeses and grocery items available. I was having particular difficulty finding a specific variety of cooked ham and one very helpful lady in their Muswell Hill branch, tracked one down to the Hampstead shop and reserved it for me. Would certainly recommend

EDIT Aug 23: customer service is actually terrible throughout (not just at the cheese counter) - apathetic staff that doesn’t seem to care about customers and doesn’t even bother with basics such as “hello” or “thank you”, not to mention a smile… Will only go back if I don’t have any other option.==service at the cheese/charcuterie counter has been disappointing and getting worse lately - very slow and low-energy staff, not particularly friendly or welcoming. Limited knowledge of products sold - customers often need to point the items they’re buying…Serious training in the trade - and customer service - would certainly help!==For all the reports about inflation in the media… this is real inflation: marinated chicken used to be 10.95/kg. It’s now 14.25/kg. 30% higher - that’s rather steep.I’m a regular as the quality of the meat is good, but perhaps they went a bit overboard with the pricing here! Note that service is just ok - could definitely be warmer and friendlier.

On the pricier side, but I bought marinated lamb steaks and rib eyes and they were the best steaks I’ve ever eaten at home. 100% heading back this weekend.

Butcher with glasses, blue eyes, and dark bear was very rude and had an attitude all time he was serving me.I felt so uncomfortable. He was serving me and complaining under his breath that he had to go to pray or something? Not sure but he was very hostile and didn't make me feel welcome. He behaved like I was making him a favour. He then left and a black guy served us instead. He was very kind. Also the lady at the counter was great.Products are good and will be back, but some members of staff need to check their attitude.I hope I can leave a better review after my next visit.

I advise you to receive a receipt from them all the time. They might charge you for something you do not even buy. I reported it a day after the incident happened, but since I do not live near there, I did not have a chance to pop into the shop for a while. Now the owner is refusing a refund and accusing me of making such an allegation as if I am a liar. The Madeleine Mini, £5,95, was not even near the cashier but added at the end. It was not on the counter or anywhere near to scan it by mistake. It seems the same thing happened to other people too.

One the best spots for Italian ingredients in Hampsted. You can surely find here top cheeses, prosciutto and amazing selection of wines. Without considering the super cosy and inviting inside environment. The staff is super attention as well.

We moved to the neighborhood in 2018 and it was our favorite butcher for several years. Yes, prices were always on the high end, but the quality of all meat was outstanding. And despite we live 5 mins walk from the Barrett’s butcher we were coming here to buy meat. However, over the past couple of years both the level of service and the products quality dramatically fell. On several occasions we’ve bought meat which was not fresh (to say the least) and what’s even worse - when you inform them the meat isn’t good they argue with you and don’t even try to apologise. They also run a loyalty programme here- you are supposed to spend at least 40 pounds 10 times to get a small gift which includes 2 steaks. Now they became so cheap they don’t give you regular pre cut steaks - these steaks have to be lower weight. Last time I was redeeming my loyalty card there was no lower weight steaks at the counter so the butcher gave me the regular ones. When the store manager (who was there at that moment) weighed them and found out they were 50 g???!!! more she started lecturing the butcher in front of customers he gave me too big steaks. It was very unpleasant to watch all this mess… Highly unprofessional conduct. In the end butcher was sent to the stock room to bring the « appropriate size » steaks despite there were other customers waiting to be served …and . … i just ended up leaving…
