I'm quite surprised that there are not more bad reviews(maybe they managed to get them taken down) as I feel this company do not care about their customers once they have your money.They seviced my planer but it is worse now after their so called engineer spent a whole day pratting about with it and doing more harm than good, braking the handle and now it is cutting a mile off. They refuse to come back as too much time has past. I had this work done just before Christmas and we've been in lock down but you know I really didn't expect anything else from them and would advise not to buy there machines

Rolls Royce Level Machinery with a Lada Standard Service Department.I am so glad that woodworking is my hobby and not my business.Felder woodworking machinery has a high reputation but it is so very badly let down, in the UK, by one of the most atrocious service departments I have come across. It is not helped by a very poor website such that one often has to resort to communicating with their service department.Having upgraded my machine, I need a part, particular to Felder, and which forms part of other tool items for sale, to accommodate the upgrade. I am first told that the part is unavailable and that I will have to spend £100s to buy a complete new tool.A wider search shows that this part is happily supplied by Felder-Group US and so I draw this to the attention of Felder-Group UK. They are now amazingly able to identify and supply this part for £60+ but there will be a 4-week delay. I order. After 4 weeks I have to chase the part to be told that it is not available and it will be a further 4 weeks. Really?Who can run a company with machinery that is dependant on this sort of service?Should I go into the woodworking business, I shall be putting my Felder machinery up for sale as I really could not risk being dependant on this low level of service for my essential equipment.I liken them to Nikon. great kit but such dreadful customer service.

What a shocking company. I will never buy another machine from them. We have four machines and were always loyal when we needed something new! We have a 5 year old veneer press - yes only 5 years old that broke down first after 3.5 years. We spent £5000 trying to fix it, they then, after a big argument, started trying to fix it at their cost. No luck. They have just turned round to me and said they can't do anything else, all I can do is buy a new one at a very slightly reduced rate!!! Could you think of anyone that would pay £20K plus for a machine that doesn't even last 3.5 years!!! DO NOT SHOP WITH THIS COMPANY.All happy to take your money as fast as possible, then drop you as fast as they can, when their machines don't work. Spread the word, I know I will be, social media is an amazing thing to make customers aware of large companies treatment of the small guys!!

I really wish I had read the Google reviews before buying......Felder AD741. 95% of the stuff we do is MDF, so it's really for the odd bit of tulip/oak. It can literally go a month or more without use.First off, I was missold the machine. The rep insisted that the extension tables could be used on each end of the bed, giving overall length of 3m. Which is really handy when machining up large worktops etc. But no. On delivery, I discovered they only fit on one end of the machine. At this point I should have returned the thing..... But I felt bad for the rep (who's now left the company) and I accepted their work-around.The initial commissioning" (for which you have to pay or the warranty is invalidated) was a joke. The guy who turned up didn't have a clue about the machine. I voiced concerns regarding the braking

Purchased a CF741P.Sales staff were excellent, not pushy, very knowledgeable and responsive. In light of the fact that it was a relatively complex machine with a lot of options, the time taken and advice given was really appreciated, ultimately ensuring that I bought a machine with the spec best suited to my needs.Delivery and commissioning was also of a high standard, the engineer really took his time to check the set up and explain every aspect of each of the the machine's functions.The machine itself is a joy, beautifully engineered, a pleasure to use.Regarding price, ultimately you get what you pay for. For me personally this was a 20 year investment, viewed over that time scale any premium is relatively insignificant.

Appauling technical support and parts backup. I never normally leave reviews good or bad and have been a felder customer for over 10 years spending north of £100k with them. But I have been so disappointed in the machine service, technical support and parts backup recently that I can no longer buy or recomend their machines. The machines are great but everything else is so bad you can run a business dealing with them. My last experience and the one that pushed me to leave this review, was failed motor switch on the extraction unit - Not stocked in the UK took nearly 2 weeks to arrive and when it did - it did not match the terminals on the old, and all their wring diagrams are in Austrian - I had red / yellow and black and the book said - br, gr, sw. It took nearly a day and several engineers to tell me what to do. - This is basic stuff, and there was no understanding at their end that without extraction my workshop could not function, and had not for nearly 2 weeks

it's the worse company ever i dealt with, they sold me a machine for over £16800, as soon the got the payment and they delivered the machine, and when they arranged the time to fit it they told me that i need to provide dust extractor hose and that's can get it from them and will takes around two weeks which it mean another two weeks delay (if they told me before i would order it with machine!!!), after i provide the hose they sent engineer to fit as soon he arrived he said you should have Air dryer otherwise the machine will not be guarantee covered, and that's another (£500-£600) plus the time till arrive, and one more thing they don't have a return policy as they know whoever buy from them will never do that again.the machine is now on eBay for sale as i can't use it, and I have to find another place to buy it.

Hi, I'm Michael from Freedom Construction.QUICK TO TAKE YOUR MONEY BUT LAST TO PROVIDE SERVICEI hope someone will read that before they use any services from Felder. I'm owner of Hammer A31 Planer Thicknesser which was manufacture in 2014.Last week electrical element burn which was delivered fairly quickly from felder. Replacing element was straight forward. After we replaced electrical element machine started only when you hold start button. In the first instance I called Felder as they should" know what the problem is after investigation. Last Friday I had engineer visit to service machine before starting he was fist to drink coffee and this is after paying in full to felder when you order service. I don't thing he run any tests but visually check connections and cables which he admitted that all is correctly connected. His diagnosis were that 3 phase converter is faulty and needs to be replaced. I immediately order new converter which we received on Monday. We connected converter and same again machine only starts and run when you hold start button. I beleive electrical element is faulty but they do not want to admit that. I paid Felder to get things sort it not to receive information which was not even correct and cost me lots of money. We connected planner even directly to 3 phase and problem was the same. In my conclusion Felder fail to diagnose problem even try to blame us that is not connected correctly. They not even try to solve the problem. We paid massive amount of money approx £1000 to the day in parts and Felder labour not to mention that our projects are on hold and our clients can't get what they paid for plus cost our labour.I would say to avoid Felder any machine and definitely service. You will get disappointed and you will end up with MASSIVE BILLS"

we brought 3 machines from them from past 4 years . now they don't have proper installers for the machine . they got inexperienced . recently we brought the beam saw from them they took almost two weeks to install the machines . very unprofessional people .we paid the deposit for the edgebander machine more than 9 months . they agreed to refund the deposit . they wasted my time . we agreed to buy the machine from other company . now they are saying machine ready .they got very good sales people not very good installers or maintenance people. when you are buying the machine please don't go for the sales pitch make sure they got experienced installers . service manager( chris kelly)is the only person had a knowledge on the machines .
