Very nice pub , lovely atmosphere. The customers that were in at the time were very friendly and pleasant.Would highly recommend visiting if you're in the area.

Great pub. I understand it will have a new landlord soon. Hopefully they will be as good as the current management.

Warm, welcoming and traditional pub. Varied menu. I enjoyed generous serving of home made chicken pie with plenty of fresh veg. Selection of real ales. Near the station. Thoroughly recommended.

The Battle Of Trafalgar
We booked at 14:30 for a Sunday roast the day before. On the day they informed us that there was only beef Sunday roast left (at 14:30). We ordered 4. It took more than 30 minutes to arrive and when it did it was uncooked. They meat was red inside ( I do like blue and rare meat, but this was too much). We raised this with them and cooked all our roasted a bit more. Also the quantity was not great, specially the potatoes, that were 2 small pieces.Maybe just was the day, but the experience was not good at all. The Sunday roast was tasty nevertheless, even though the could put more meat and potatoes.

The Battle has now changed hands / Management, and the couple of times I've been in the kitchen was not up and running, which wasn't a great problem because we got a Deliveroo, seemed a lot quieter than usual I'm hoping everything picks up and they get back to how they used to be, because it used to be a great place.

I used to love visiting this pub for its atmosphere, staff and clientele, but it has gone downhill since the previous team left. The spirit selection is poor and the cleanliness standards have declined. The redeeming point is Vanessa's cooking and her roast which is always delicious. If only everything else had remained as consistent.

Looking for a classic British pub with classic British beer? Walk up the hill to here. Quieter than the pubs around, so good venue for a table chat with friends/family. Nice selection of beers, and you can ring the bell if you are feeling charitable.

Old school boozer, quiet enough to have a good catch up, good range of drinks, friendly staff, a good crowd. No TV, no fruity, proper pub! Convenient for the station. Looks a bit tired but you're their for a drink and a chat nor interior design tips.EDIT Buy your drinks with a card and it comes up as BAD GIRLS HOTEL LTD! The landlord may find it funny but that is now on my bank account and I'm not impressed!

The Battle Of Trafalgar
A proper boozer with proper Brighton characters behind the bar, all super friendly and helpful & great choice of ales & beers. You don't find authenticity like this often these days, so enjoy it while you can. Definitely a pub for a return and prolonged visit.
