Celia Hickson - Wedding, Naming and Funeral Celebrant

I can not recommend Celia enough. She was the celebrant at our civil partnership this March. She was so thoughtful and made it such a special ceremony. There were loads of personal touches that money couldn't buy.

Celia was the celebrant for my dads funeral in May 2022. She was kind, respectful and patient with us. The wording of the funeral was beautiful. She did exactly what we wanted and asked for, and having her by our side really helped us pay our tributes to dad.

A sad occasion but what a lovely day we had remembering Mum and celebrating her life. Celia's well considered tribute made it perfect. Lovely lady, wouldn't hesitate to recommend.

Celia was recently our celebrant for a joint wedding and naming ceremony for our son. We wanted something a little less traditional and Celia listened to everything we said and created the most beautiful ceremony. SO many people have told us it's the best wedding they have been to. We got everyone involved with a ring warming ritual which was Celia's idea and people really loved this as everyone had a part to play. Thank you so much to Celia, would 100% recommend!

Had a wonderful experience with Celia this past weekend. Celia was incredible accomodating for myself and my wife and spent alot of time with us to detail a perfect ceremony that perfectly captured our relationship. It was the perfect was to celebrate our wedding with all of our family and friends after having a reduced capactiy registry service due to the pandemic.

Celia is an empathetic and supportive celebrant who really listened to our needs and wishes. Creating the celebration we needed.

Celia absolutely smashed it! Our naming ceremony was a hit with everybody. Lots of our guests said they were unsure what to expect but said that they were amazed at how unique and personal Celia made our day. Celia listened to our daughters story and created the perfect ceremony to celebrate her. I wish I could do it all over again! I would highly recommend Celia for your special occasion! X

Celia delivered a beautiful and personal naming ceremony for our little boy on his first birthday. Before the ceremony, Celia came to our house so she could get to know us and so that we could all create the content together. This was a lovely touch and we felt very comfortable in her presence; she was warm and kind from the moment we met her. On the day of the ceremony, Celia delivered the ceremony in our garden to a group of friends and family. Everyone commented on what a beautiful service it was. Thank you so much for helping us mark such a special occasion. We couldn’t have asked for a better day.

Celia was outstanding, she took time to learn about us and what we wanted from the day, the ceremony was funny, sweet, relaxed and genuine. Celia led the life celebration for my mum and did a wonderful job. We first saw Celia when she fulfilled the same role at the funeral of my mum's sister back in Feb 2023. She really resonated on this occasion with my wife and I and when mum sadly died only 8 months after her sister it felt appropriate to approach Celia. Mum's life celebration was an intimate, small gathering and Celia was excellent in helping shape proceedings and spoke eloquently for my father, having spent a number of hours on a couple of occasions with him talking about his long life and marriage with mum. I could not have asked for a more well suited person than Celia to support us during this process. I would most definitely recommend her to anyone who feels a non-religious / humanist life celebration is right for them / their loved one.
