Well laid out , we got what we needed, listened to the sales pitch about warranty, didn't take it. As manufacturers was enough, paid and item ready within 10 minute and helped to load in to the car.No issues, but make sure you price check online first .

So a very long story short (ish).Attended Currys (Scpe) to purchase a laptop & all seemingly went ok.I did note a lot of staff just hanging around the store & chatting, despite other customers in the store.On purchase, I declined setup & no fee was mentioned re this, but told if any issues just to pop back & they’d be sorted.On getting home not only was the security case left on the usb stick, that I got with the laptop.We were unable to setup the laptop following the online prompts, thus not being usable.We have to returned store & eventually approached by a member of staff, (again they were all collated together chatting).Upon trying to explain the situ the member of staff immediately had both visible & verbally abrupt attitude towards us, being rude & tutting on one occasion.They explained it was a set up error, was not entitled to a refund even if considered & as a result it would cost £45.00 to set the laptop up properly. Where was would be looked at 1st thing tmw as there was no technician in.Reluctantly we paid.Having not heard anything I returned to the store.Again staff were in groups just chatting & I was eventually approached.The initial staff member was unable to help having no clue, so I asked to speak to a Manager & was met with the staff member who spoke the day prior.They was not helpful at all, & exactly as they had been prior, this time arguing with me that they had not told us it would be sorted 1st thing.No resolve was made & I was told the laptop would be ready when it was & that was that. When I stated I would wait, they stated you’ll be waiting a long time then!I asked to speak to another Manager & this time was met by a far calmer, polite individual.They too however also disagreed what had been said, however explained the process in detail as should have been the case in the first place.Whilst not ideal, I saw I had no choice in that they at least try to resolve the matter & identify if it was a setup error or in fact faulty which I explained as we are not technicians, how we would know. But we were giving the store the benefit of the doubt that it was a new laptop so it shouldn’t be faulty, so they should try to set it up for us. But as such they should not assume & state we were not entitled to a refund when it wasn’t confirmed either way until a technician did look at it.When I asked how they were going to resolve the poor customer service we received moving forward, I was told, “Well I’m not going above & beyond, why would I”.Somewhat dismayed be this remark I explained words to the effect that, that was a shame as that’s what puts some retailers ahead of others by excellent customer service & doing just that maintains in-store & online customers. In a world as we are today it pays to be kind, but sadly not here as there was no resolve other than to do what we had to pay for.So another journey was made back to collect my laptop, where the setup was completed & it was confirmed that it was not our fault as the Laptop prevented us completing setup with a 3rd party warning that worded if we went further the laptop would be reconfigured. So understandably not wanting to affect warranty we didn’t. Although when I stated, that technically then I’d paid for something that wasn’t my fault & as such shouldn’t of had to, I was told well it’s not our fault either & part of the set up process, where I could have downloaded something to stop this…..Honestly, lost for words!!!So lessons learned here, ensure you are provided with all the correct information, continue to ask questions even if not sure, know your consumer rights. Do not take staffs word for it & most of all don’t expect the customer to be always right…as apparently they are not, even when they are!Sadly a customer lost here, with no recommendations moving forward.Where online & now another retailer will be getting my money in the future as my experiences with Currys are far below standard when something goes wrong.

Bought 2 Christmas presents (a mini oven and a ninja air fryer), great prices, delivered the oven from supplier within 4 days. Also my mum recently bought one of their washing machines, great price, plumbed it in and took the old one away. Very happy, highly recommend.

I am most grateful with each member of staff that helped me during my latest purchases of a new iPad & hoover, the service they gave was exemplary. They transferred all from my old iPad onto the new one that I purchased & I was able to log on immediately with no problems. A very satisfied customer. Thanks

Never buy a TV in store always buy online as you won't get a refundWe bought a jvc 50in smart tv and was delivered yesterday 19th September I tuned it in 5 times and most channels were blurred and the HD channels glitched we put our old TV Toshiba 50in smart tv back on and it was all clear with no interference. Returned to store today 20th for them to say no refund as it worked ok in their store even though it was blurry and their HD didn't glitch unless it was bought online no refundHow can you try item to see if it works OK without fitting it in customer service rubbish I was in tears they didn't careWe spent 1000s in currys never again we will shop elsewhereSTAFF DIDNT CARE no more common decency in this word

The store is nice and well set out, in line with most other Currys in the country, as always though use this as a recon mission to see the product you want then order online, it will be cheaper. Staff are knowledgeable but would prefer if I have a question to approach them rather than the other way round. Keep an eye out for flash sales in the exit/entrance way.

Had what I needed. A tall, handsome red-headed gentleman from the warehouse dept managed to fit my fridge into the boot of my Ford Ka, all while making my heart flutter.I'm considering a new television just so I can see him again. ❤️

Disgusting service! Rude staff! Take your money order wrong product refuse a refund but demand an extra £120! Will never shop in there again. Blonde haired manager doesn't have two braincells and clearly no ears to listen!

Excellent visit in this Currys Shop for this bank Holiday Shopping visit and a tour look around, really helpful Service and staff were really kind and polite with Great given info, I did look for a brand new Washing Machine and a Oven Cooker, I have to say really Good range items to choose from and to select, I would recommend this Big Company to my Friends and Family as Currys are Excellent Services, their Gurantee Years policy is too Great too for a warranty for your own item
