It was my first time in here for q Valentines lunch with my boyfriend and iam sooo happy that we did.The staff is so friendly,and even though they were short staffed they really did their best ,the food was just amazing,had a rump steak and buttered potatoes and it tasted so yummy,juicy and delicious.my boyfriend cleaned his plate and couldn't stop talking about how lovely the fish was.I'll def be coming there again.Thank for making our Valentines special ❤❤❤

Elizabeth I think her name was, met us at the door, showed us our table and guided us through the most pleasurable evening. She really is an amazing host, very friendly, chatty, always smiling and nothing was too much trouble for her. Really Is an advocate for amazing customer service and the gentleman waiter, young man with moustache he was also very friendly. Couldn’t fault a thing and will definitely be coming back again. Been here twice over a periods of a month and the majority of the menu items were out of stock. What food we had was good and very nice. The stafff were very attentive when we could find them. Will try them once more in a month or so as they are the only local pub which do large steaks (if in stock).Went again and no large steaks as advertised on the menu. Had a t-bone steak which had not been cooked correctly so was taken back to the kitchen. Lost a chunk of the steak on return. Same steak just again poorly cooked could taste like a butain or paraffin flavour. Worst steak I have ever tried. But after a very long day ate what was edible.Would avoid

Dined here on Monday with our little dog Millie and she was made very welcome. Lovely staff and food. Prices very reasonable and it was all very festive. Definitely worth a visit.

Took my Dad here for tea after his op.A fantastic find. We had fish, chips and mushy peas. Delicious.Staff are very friendly. The lady, sorry I've forgotten her name, made sure everyone was catered for and happy at all times.Locals friendly too, especially Doug.We are hoping to pop back and try a Sunday dinner. Advised to pre book as very busy, so thanks for the heads up.

We dined here on a Thursday evening. 4 adults and a dog. We sat in the bar area due to having the dog with us and it was really quiet. The staff were really attentive to us having a dog and brought her a bowl of water and some dog treats. We also had one adult with dietary needs which were catered for very well for a pub chain style menu. Really pleased with the pub, atmosphere and the staff.

Great little pub on the outskirts of Shrewsbury. As a party of 8, the food came promptly with great, friendly service. Prices are as standard for these out of town places but the food was well cooked. Recommended.

We called in without booking on a Friday evening around 7.30pm, we were shown to a table and the helpful polite staff promptly served us our amazing drinks,starters and mains we were really impressed by the whole experience that we will definitely return. It was all very clean and tidy and not very busy, the only thing for me is that it would of been nice to have some background music playing as it felt a little formal. Many thanks all for a great experience
