I did the level 3 media course at access. The first year was great, teachers were nice, knew what they were doing and made the lessons engaging, assignments were a bit disorganized at times but they always made sure we knew what we needed to do.Second year, there was a huge turnover of teachers (and I’ve heard more of the good ones are leaving this year too) and these teachers lessons were instead taught by a new teacher who had graduated university a grand total of 4 month before starting the job. Lessons which were once engaging became incredibly bland, repeated basics which we were taught in the year before and the higher ups decided to impose new rules such as not being allowed to charge your own laptops which is a problem when the computers in the classroom are so underpowered that they often struggle to run photo editing software, let alone video software and factory reset themselves every night which means that if you don’t spend the last hour of each lesson uploading your work to google drive on the painfully slow internet they have there, you will lose all your work. The new teacher also claimed to ‘not understand’ several of the assignment briefs causing us all to have to make several last minute changes to be able to pass assignments and gave misleading feedback about grades which were then changed when someone more qualified ‘internally verified’ them.So in conclusion the facilities are lacking, the teaching which used to be great is now abysmal and the ‘course leader’ doesn’t understand how to complete her own assignments without guidance from other, better teachers who can fulphil the education.Would not recommend in its current state.

My nephew Max and myself attended an open day at the Lincoln college, what a great bunch of tutors, also plenty of tech , and hardware. Not just a music college but also event management, photography and video game design and lighting.

I progressed from here to the British academy of new music in London. It has lead me to now working in the music industry and now signed to a large independent label in London. Lincoln should appreciate the efforts of these guys to put it on the musical map more!

Where do I begin with this?ACC (nee ATM) gave me the opportunity to grow and prosper as a musician, producer and later a teacher.I studied there and later on, taught at ACC Lincoln. I thank ACC for giving me my start as a professional musician and educator.Cannot rate staff enough! A brilliant place to learn your craft in Lincoln/East Midlands.

Access gave me the knowledge and skills to enable myself to further myself in the world of music. The centre nurtures and caters for a variety of creative types whilst enhancing their talents.Following my time at both Access Lincoln and London, I completed a music degree and teaching qualification. I have been teaching for 14 years and continue to write, record and produce original music due to the skills I honed at Access.

I studied at ATM Lincoln for 2 enjoyable and interesting years, taking the RSL Extended Diploma in Composition. I am now at the University of Hertfordshire studying Music Composition & Technology for Film & Games. The tuition was excellent, to the extent that much of my first semester at uni was going over things that I'd already been taught. The atmosphere at the centre was friendly, accepting and supportive, encouraging students to help each other learn even more than was in the extensive curriculum. The tutors have a range of areas of expertise that complement each other perfectly. I can't praise it enough.

I attended ATM in Lincoln for 2 years, I'm now at the London College of Music with a good grounding in everything I needed. If you can put the effort in this team can get you where you want to be. The staff are competent, experienced and great people to work with. I have students that I taught privately now in attendance and they are doing great.

I was a student at Access Creative studying their music performance course. There wasn’t many options for a young creative such as myself in the city. I am so grateful this place was there for me and still going strong.

I am currently 5 weeks away from finishing a 2 year Games Art course here. In that time, I have learnt nothing.Firstly, the centre is frankly unqualified to teach art. I learnt more in Year 10 Art & Design than I have on this supposed Level 3 course. I enrolled on the course because it was advertised as an arts course, and what we got is essentially watered down Games Design. There are no art lessons - occassionally, you will receive an assignment that amounts to a list of chores that will burn you out, but you will never learn art. I've never even seen a single one of our teachers actually draw - what little art lessons" we've received have used either A) someone else's art ripped off Google

If you are not a Pianist, a Drummer, a Singer or a Guitarist, Don't bother with this college. The tutors and peers are lovely, I could't ask for better but as a brass musician there was no help on my side. I started at the college knowing I was the only brass musician at this college so I knew it would be a challenge. In my 3rd year I had to do a kind of interview thing as I missed the deadline as I was working, it was mentioned in my interview that there would be more solo work so I will be able to play my instrument. In our first rehearsal at college in year 3 we was asked to all perform Paparazzi by Lady Gaga and practice it in under a day to perform in front of the class the next day. Now, that is easy for a pianist, drummer, singer and a guitarist but very impossible for someone like me. For it to be possible I would have to find a music score online which there was none for my instrument, the closest I can get was a flute score and that is no where near my instrument. I would then have to completely change the score myself and then spend hours constantly learning it to see if it sound right, this would take a week or over but we was asked to do it in less then a day. They don't think about us musician who play different instruments. You would think they would pick a song that has access to ALL instruments, but no.
