I saw another comment about a person walking in and assuming the people in the shop were “racist”, I want to admit I felt the same vibe as the previous reviewer. Walked in said hi to one chap, don’t know his name but he was in his 60s I’d say and of slim build, he didn’t respond and would just stare at us. I thought ok maybe he’s not the one we need to speak to anyway.. walked into second part of shop where there was two men sat down, one older and of a larger build and a younger man who I’d say was late 20s-30s. Said hi, they both didn’t respond.. felt embarrassed so walked around a bit then decided to actually approach them. Told them what I wanted and he straight up said “have you won the lottery?” Like what? Bare in mind I asked for their herringbone.. I’m not sure whether it was ageism or racism or just straight up discrimination. In the end it was the younger guy who made the quote. Still they just seem so unbothered and have no customer service skills whatsoever! I was quoted a very good price, but in the end went for another company who ended up being £250 more but decided to go with them anyway as they were a lot friendlier and attentive.It’s a shame as I’ve heard some decent things about them and their prices are great. They really need to do better as a company!!! If I could 0 stars I would.

Met Ian when I visited the shop roughly two weeks ago, Ian was super helpful and put me at ease straight away with confidence the fitting would take place asap. Within a week of visiting Ian, I had new carpets throughout my new flat, with plenty of time to get ready for Christmas. Will definitely be using again....but not for a few years!

Lovely Shop with many different styles of flooring inc Carpets.Laminate and Real wood Everything you could want 8n the way of Flooring.Staff weren't interested in the customers both were in the 2nd half of store just chatting about Football...Think one of them thought he was Jeff Stelling!!! Myself and Three other customers were present.Not once was we asked if we needed any help??!! And I needed help.

Horrible carpeting and a very bad service. Messy work and the workers are irresponsible. They charged me lots of money and the result is very disappointing. They claim to be the cheapest but they are not. You will be charged extra after the job is done for unclear reasons. Plz make sure not to try them.

Bought some lino for the kitchen from the very helpful Ian last Saturday. This shop has been here forever and I can understand why. The service and patience shown by Ian (and Ryan on the telephone afterwards) goes that extra mile, and proves why smaller businesses win over larger corporates.The lino was delivered and laid by the two Johns. Very professional and friendly, and they were gave a masterclass in the expression 'There's no substitute for experience.' Nothing was too much trouble - many thanks guys.I would recommend JB Carpets without hesitation, and will be using their services again in the future.

Wonderful service from a wonderful chap in store called Bryan! Really easy to order, fitters were on time and everything looks immaculate! Really impressed! Will be returning when I require my bedroom refitting at some point in the near future!

Last year I had a floor fitted and had amazing service, this year I had two floors fitted but they left no trim, for both rooms. I did have a small piece left over from last years job which could be used for the new floor but not enough. . After talking to John he said that I do not need trim but promised to drop some off. After four phone calls he dropped some off last week, but only for one room ! I am disappointed this time with the service. 22nd October I am STILL waiting, I phoned two weeks ago asking where my missing parts are and who ever answered the phone was going to ask John but he was on the toilet! And was promised he would call back ! But never got a call backShocking after care serviceIt’s now November and still waiting!

Absolutely excellent service, very helpful explanation about why the original vinyl I wanted wouldn’t work in my L-shaped hallway so no costly mistakes were made. The staff in the shop and the fitters are knowledgeable, delightful, and friendly and I now have beautiful floors. Thanks, guys! (Lu)

Awful service for this place! We went into the shop to give measurements for the room we wanted carpet for, a week later never heard anything back, went back to the shop to find out they’ve lost the paper work, couple days later they came to take new measurements - again never heard anything back from them so had to chase up again and was told carpet would be here on Monday, again never heard anything back, chased up with them AGAIN, for them to say the carpet won’t be here till next week. We decided we no longer wanted to continue with them due to the lack of communication/ unprofessionalism. Oh yeah when we asked them for measurements of the rooms they refused to give it to us (I think it’s because they were over charging us) They obviously don’t know how to run a business. Lost another customer :)

Have been a regular customer for years and most recently had some carpet fitted. The owner John is always very helpful and gives excellent advice when deciding to choose the correct carpet needed. He’s never one to try and sell the most expensive one, but gives many options in different price ranges. The fitters were very efficient, prompt and clean when they did their work. All in all an excellent carpet shop which has been a regular on Holloway Road for years and still continues to provide a high level of service, care and attention..
