Rough Grounds Farm

I spent five days here at rough grounds, had the place yo myself gor three of them, lovely and quiet at night, local conservation area next door, wich makes a nice morning walk. Pipping hot water in the taps washing up basin, washing machine urinal, dunny and shower, I especially made good friends with a family of wolf spiders living in the shower, really funny little kritters, would definitely stay there again oh and electric hook up available.

Wonderfully quite super clean facilities will definitely be going back

Stayed here with my caravan and three tents for RIAT 2023. good site with friendly helpfull staff. Very convenient for the airshow. I can't recommend it any more highly

Camped for two nights! Got the bus from Swindon and packed very lightly, didn’t have much plans but had a great time. Very close to Lechlade and only 10 minute walk from a CoOp. Only a short walk to some great places to wild swim. Patrick (the man who owns the site) was incredibly friendly and quickly replied to messages giving suggestions on what to do nearby and letting us borrow a fire pit. The facilities were very well set up and very clean. A brilliant small campsite with a very friendly atmosphere and everything you could need when it comes to facilities.

Stayed here for one night for a quick little getaway, it's a hidden treasure with beautiful scenery, friendly animals, and so much to explore around the land,The owners are very friendly and accommodating and we've already booked to go again next month25/06/23

Lovely Campsite. Only one shower and a few toilets in wooden outside huts, though a bit nicer than just a wooden shed. It is quiet, just fields so great spaces for the kids to play. Recommend

Really lovely quiet campsite. We stayed Sunday to Friday and there were only 6/7 other campers staying in the field. Great facilities, including shower, toilet block, washing up area and also a washing machine. Lovely setting, there is a woodland that they planted in 1999. Which you can walk around and enjoy. Patrick is very friendly and made us feel very welcome. We will be back!

We just spent 4 nights in our tent at Rough Grounds Farm campsite, following a local friend's recommendation. It is a wonderful campsite in a level grassy field, and the ground (which is not rough, in the campsite field anyway) is good for tents, putting in pegs, and driving your vehicle over. Facilities for nearby loos, basins, washing up sink and shower are good too, with proper running hot water. Drinking water tap is by the entrance, and there is a good disposal point for portable loos (green liquid only, no formaldehyde, to allow the recently installed septic tank to do its stuff). There are bookable electric hook up facilities for those with wagons etc that need them (we didn't). The whole place is well maintained and cleaned by Patrick, the farmer/proprietor. The site was fairly empty mid-week, but filled up on Friday and Saturday night, and everybody was good at being quiet after 10pm (unlike in some places I've visited). We enjoyed walking in the woods beside the site too, and will certainly return to Rough Grounds.

Fantastic 6 days in this lovely part of England. We stopped over summer bank holiday, it was busy but fun. Visit and enjoy.
