An amazing venue and and an excellent showcase for the North East Culture Awards. Fantastic to see Eliot Smith Dance (Gateshead) as finalists in the Performance of the Year Category for Yamit Salazar.

Gorgeous new venue in the heart of Sunderland. Excellent sound quality, with good views of the large and well-lit stage. Venue floor is either standing or sitting depending on who is playing (plenty of leg room is given when sitting). Can get a little too warm at times though. The bar does not serve alcohol on-tap, but there is plenty of bottles and cans from the fridge. Service can be slow and prices are what you expect from a venue like this. Some seating in the bar area.

Good venue, great view of the artist on the stage, bar was crowded at the interval but that's normal anywhere else too.

Modern, small, intimate theatre. Saw the comedian Josie Long there. The size meant she could strike up a real rapport with the audience. Nice bar too. Interval drinks were easy to get, and well laid out. Cheerful staff.
