I did like this venue and the layout. Staff and door people were nice. However, as a professional music venue the sound quality is no way good enough. They need to invest in this. Compared to,say, Band on the Wall in Manchester, where there is a fixed house PA too, the difference is significant.

One of my favourite venues in Nottingham (and in general!) I have seen Crawlers and Black Honey play here. Small venue, but large-ish bands play there, meaning you can get some really great experiences at rescue rooms. Always a good crowd and the balcony guarantees a great view if you'd rather not be in the pit. My one gripe is the bar being at the very back of the room, making it impossible to return to your spot if you go for a drink, but all around a brilliant place to see good artists!

A good venue for seeing live bands. Some views aren't great so unless you get early to get a good spot and never move you'll be OK.The main floor has a good view but if it's busy and your standing at the side, the view is obscured but a large pillar! The balcony at the back has a reasonable view of the band but the view of the stage is a little restricted by the ceiling, lighting and ticker tape machine. The side balcony view is severely restricted.A good venue but depends on where you stand.

I must admit ... I think I'm too old for this place but it was a good time. Different rooms for different tastes. It appears to be very popular as it was packed. The security staff were friendly enough.Drinks were affordable. The two main rooms we spent the most time in could definitely do with better DJs. Sorry guys, but you gotta work on your transitions. It was painful to listen at times.

I have been here for several gigs now and it's a really nice intimate venue! The cocktails are nice and the drinks in the venue bar are very reasonably priced at happy hour. The quiz and karaoke night on Wednesdays is great fun although there are very often not enough tables and the quiz is a little unconventional, so if you like a classic pub quiz you may either love it or hate it! The vibe for karaoke is excellent though and the whole crowd gets involved!

I have been going to Rescue Rooms for years for gigs and shows. It has long been one of my favourite venues. The sound is good, it is small enough to feel intimate but big enough that the crowd can give a great vibe. The staff have always been lovely. Prices at the bar are pretty standard, probably considered a little expensive if you're not used to it. Recently attended Seasick Steve and there was some trouble with a couple of individuals and the bouncers were straight onto to them and got them out. The photographs are from the last two gigs I attended, A1" where we were situated on the balcony and "Seasick Steve" where we were front at the barrier."

Good sound quality, decent drink prices (I'm a Londoner) if only they are a single member of bar staff short. There is a pillar in the rear right quarter of the room which cuts off views from certain sections but it's up to you if you stand behind it! Enjoy yourself.
