Quickly stopped here after going to Exmoor Zoo. The lady behind the bar (general manager, sorry didn't catch her name) was lovely & made some chips for me even though they don't normally serve food on a Monday. Had a nice chat with her.Nicely decorated & clean too. Thank you

This place when I was there was up for sale. I didn't eat there but had a drink. Never went inside as I sat in the beer garden. There is work to be done there. It is run down. It is placed on a main road and there would be passing trade so good for anyone buying. Has rooms above. Having seen a flat above it also needs work. The one member of staff that I saw was friendly.

Had mid week carvery with family and totally enjoyed! Huge helping of meat, I had turkey while my husband had the roast and a great selection of vegetables to choose from and of course yorkshire pudding. Price couldn't be beat and included choice of dessert

came for a visit today everyone had a roast . service was slow as for the food it was cold tasteless and over cooked. meat and roasties was nice but again cold. we did tell the server and her answer was i can put your food in the microwave rather than actually fix the issue. prices was shocking for a child roast dinner £10.50 only £1 less than a adults. as a local i will never be visiting again.

Like many pubs these days, it's struggling. Closes early when numbers are low. It's a decent pub with decent food but who can afford to go to the pub all the time anymore?

Had a roast here the other week...the meat was dry/cold, and the veg which was limited choice was very cold and most definitely not fresh, the sprouts (not the season for them) were brown and tasteless. The gravy was so thick you could cut it, and again cold. Worst roast I've ever had. I took it home for my dogs.

Went here for some lunch. I won't be coming back.I ordered the fish and chips when it came out it looked beautiful on first site fresh and fluffy batter.Unfortunately the fish inside the batter was obviously frozen. Inside it was like a watery mush and not nice at all. My colleague ordered a chicken curry which did not look or taste great at all.The sauce of the curry was like water and the chicken was that sparse it looked like the had picked it off of a drumstick and chucked it in the watery sauce was pretty much inedible.Granted we did not complain to the staff one because of the time restraint on our lunch break , and two we asked how our meals were before we had even taken a bite so had already said it was fine ,we were wrong it was awfully.

My daughter took me here for a treat and it was lovely. We had the Vegan burger and a traditional ploughman's lunch brought out to us in the garden to enjoy on a summer's evening. The service was excellent and very welcoming and the food very good indeed.
