Urban Hair

Unfortunately the last time I trusted Urban with my VERY LONG HAIR, it ENDED UP BURNED. Decided, although I love the girl who coloured my hair that day, I would never go back to that salon as I’ve never really had an excellent experience there.However!! My “BUM LENGTH BLONDE AND RED HAIR” NEEDED SOME SERIOUS, SERIOUS TLC by a very experienced STYLIST as it had not been touched for a year or more again - I decided to give them another go as they have good reviews and I thought they’re always going to competitions and that means they’re always learning - HOWEVER!!!!!!I went In 1/3 red at top And 2/3 blonde down to bum lengthI ASKED FOR A “LONG SILVERY BLONDE BOB STYLE BUT SO THAT IT STILL HIT MY SHOULDERS AND BELOW!!What I RECEIVED WAS: A VERY “SHORT” “BROWN” BOB!!??!?! I have never had brown hair in my life and nor have I had such short BASIC CUT Bowl type hair with a longer layer underneath?!?!?! I’ve not seen that type of cutting since I was a teenager and I’m nearly 50!!!!!!!!!Look, I’m giving this review for one reason!!!Obviously I won’t be back, but!!! I’m hoping that it will change something within your company to ensure this doesn’t happen again! I was even advised to BUY SILVER SHAMPOO BECAUSE MY “BROWN” hair might go “YELLOW” IF I DIDN'T USE IT - now, to me, these were words they knew I wanted to hear as that would mean there was some sort of blonde left in my newly “BROWN HAIR”!!??Anyway, there is no blonde in my hair - there are no layers In my hair - just the one big soup bowl and then the under longer hairs - and my hair is very very short!!!!Morale of the story?I always paid a huge amount of money keeping my hair very beautiful and only once every two years maybe And it still remained so healthy and beautiful the whole year through!! And the colour stayed as it should be and the flow and cut stayed as it should it should be!!Which only goes to show one thing!“YOU ONLY EVER GET WHAT YOU PAY FOR” and, in my experience, I’ve only ever been totally disappointed when going to this salon and - as much as I like the people involved - I had to give my honest and true opinion and review as I’ve left this salon so disappointed and upset too many times and no matter how many times the owner of the salon keeps telling you how amazing your hair is!!!!! It still doesn’t take away that you entrusted stylists with your very long hair, so excited to see what they could do with it, and you ended up with SHORT BROWN HALF SHORT HALF NECK LENGTH HAIRCOMPLETELY OPPOSITE TO WHAT I HAD ASKED FOR

Just average. Two expensive kids hair cuts that took forever as the hair dresser didn't seem confident. Friendly enough team but probably would find somewhere else to be honest. Can't speak to their colouring or adult cutting ability/prices.

Great service from Katie ( stylist) and the young woman who washed my hair ( sorry I can't remember your name). First visit to Urban Hair but I'll definitely be back.Nice friendly lively atmosphere and efficient service

I can't thank Nicole and Katie enough for nursing my hair back to health within one year. I arrived with the worst damaged hair ever and thought it would take several years to repair. One year on and I couldn't be happier. Best wee salon out there. Thanks so much girls xx

Good haircut, helpful & friendly staff. While very busy today, there was no delay in my appointment, and yet again, great hairdo.
