Slindon College
My son attended Slindon college since starting Y7, he has just finished his final year in 6th form. My son is autistic and struggled with communicating and socialising when he first started. The staff at Slindon college have been amazing and over the years with their help and support my son has grown with confidence. They have catered to his needs, made adaptations and adjustments to accommodate his learning to maximise his full potential for his education. I am so pleased that my son was able to go to a school where it is mixed and caters for all boys of all levels. I would highly recommend this school to all parents looking for somewhere where their sons can have an enjoyable experience as well as their full potential being utilised.. regardless of their capabilities.

My son has attended slindon college since beginning of year 6. If I could give more than 5 stars I would. He loves attending school, his behaviour has changed so much and has a positive attitude towards school. The support he gets is great. He is meeting a lot of targets. Due to small classes, as well as the teachers understanding him.

Slindon College is such a unique, fantastic school. The environment is incredibly supportive and inclusive. It is so rewarding to see students who may struggle in mainstream schools flourish and reach their full potential at Slindon College.

Our son is truly like a different child since starting at Slindon College, he wants to attend school for the first time ever, he is more engage with his learning, has more confident, he has made some great friends and most importantly he is so happy.Slindon is an amazing nurturing environment, all the staff have a passion to provide the boys with the best possible experience. The whole structure and additional services such as SALT available at slindon collage are second to none and are carried out on site which means less disruption to the boys learning, the way they teach really engages the pupils and encourages them to try new things. The grounds and farm are truly breathtaking and give the boys so many learning opportunities that extend beyond the classroom. My son is also very impressed with the meals provided, he is a bit of a foodie and comes home everyday raving about the amazing meals and snacks he has had during the day!If you are looking for a school for your son I really would recommend you go and have a look around Slindon College and see what they have to offer, we have so far been impressed with the whole experience, from the trial days to him starting and the continued support, our son is so happy and is growing in confidence every day which is just amazing to see.

I never cease to be impressed by the activities on offer. Slindon college really does support each individual to explore their own interests and strengths from Green Power, photography and cricket, to swimming and cycling to name just a few. The boys' enthusiasm is clear. Day pupils also enjoy joining the Boarders on their varied weekend programme.

My son started Slindon College at the end of year five and is now in secondary, the school has shown him a whole new way of learning, but also the confidence to want to learn and has given him the opportunity to succeed in the subjects he does so well in. Highly recommended.

Our son joined Slindon College in September 2022 after some extremely negative experiences at his mainstream primary. He has high functioning autism and has really found 'his place' at Slindon and has never been happier. The leadership via headteacher Mrs Vlahodimou are excellent and all the staff are passionate, inspiring and above all qualities; kind, patient and understanding. For the first time in our son's education, we feel relaxed and calm knowing he is in the best possible hands, and able to reach his full potential and be the best version of himself. We cannot recomend the school highly enough.

I cannot speak highly enough of Slindon College, and how they’ve turned my son’s life around. He joined the school in year 7 with selective mutism due to major anxiety and depression. He’d had bad experiences in junior school, and Covid lockdowns hit him hard. We were scared we would never find a secondary school that was gentle enough to meet his needs - and without Slindon I really don’t know where we’d be. Watching him grow into a kind, confident and mature young man with thriving friendships has been astonishing. It’s a very long commute to the school for us, but it’s worth every second of travel. It’s such a nurturing environment, and their commitment to supporting the boys through their challenges, is second to none. If issues arise (inevitable with teenagers!) they take the time to listen and understand the reasons behind the behaviour. Importantly, communication between teachers and parents is excellent. If you have a son who has struggled in another setting, particularly if they are sensitive and or vulnerable, please do consider Slindon. It may well have literally been a life saver for us.

My son joined slindon as a day boy at the start of YR7 and has just finished his last Yr of sixth form and is now about to start his first full time job.My son has A.D.H.D and DLD and always struggled with socialising and communication and had very bad experiences at mainstream schools.Being at slindon I have seen him grow from a scared boy to a very confident young man, which is due to the small classes the 1.1 support and all the teachers and staff at slindon. My son would come home happy and excited to go back and made friends, when he was in Yr10 he even started boarding on different weekends which helped his independence and confidence grow even more.Slindon College is an amazing school and would highly recommend it.
