Great shop and post office, I go there for Matthews flour. Wide selection direct from the mill. Stays open until 7.30 weekdays and Saturday.

I can see that the latest review is from 8 months and then a year ago. I don't know what happened in that time from the raving reviews a year ago but definitely down hill. Almost nothing in the shelves and a little tip to the girl behind the counter. When someone greets you, you greet them back and you don't keep babbling on in Indian to your colleague. Don't know where that friendly atmosphere from a year ago has gone what I read about but maybe time to put some more effort in ey ?

Love this shop great selection of fresh fruit and veg plus all other bits of food you need and there is now a selection of American sweets, crisps and drinks

nice little villiage store with post office insidethey do fresh made bagettes.sandwiches. at lunchtimes have tried those my favourite is coronation chicken on a bagette.beautiful !!.

Lovely village post office helpfully friendly staff.We visited to buy some of the flour from the local flour mill.Plenty of choice.

Lovely village shop and PO, staff are friendly and helpful and you can always find the things you need.

Very handy for Shipton, just a short walk along the road to Milton.Very well supplied and a decent amount of parking space.

Great village store and post office with great staffUpdate: Dec 2023, since change in ownership!I have given time for things to settle after a change of ownership!This is now an awful place. There is no friendly greeting or even an acknowledgement.The staff/owners don’t seem to want your custom or even have you in their premises, I almost feel they resent your presence and would rather you leave.Several times recently I’ve been in around 9a.m to find the post office closed (yes, perhaps I should recall the opening times but at my age I cannot retain that level of detail) the point is, the rest of the shop is open. Nobody attends to your needs, apologies, tries to offer anything in terms of empathy to your plight and are more than happy for you to just leave and come back - 10 minutes later - when it suits them!It’s just a dreadful place, and just in case anyone wants to play the racial card - it’s got nothing to do with colour of skin, language etc - it’s just simple customer service and courtesy.Today I left their shop with my letter, as I was 9 minutes too early for their PO opening hours. I drive the 10 or so miles to Minster Lovell and used the Post Office there, which once again is embedded in a convenience store, the PO opens at the same time as the store (7a.m) and the gentlemen in their of Indian/Asian origin could of not been more helpful or pleasant.I care not of his colour, race, creed or religion and only mention it as the owners of our Post Office seem to think they are not welcome due to their race etc.Try treating your customers with a friendly greeting, make an effort, try and offer better customer service and of not, at least some empathy and you might find you are made to feel a bit more welcome.Sadly, I’ve had enough. Won’t visit again to be treated like something on the bottom of your shoe and will drive out of the village for my needs
