Thank you Charlie and your team for always doing a great job. We have used London Builders and Decorators across two homes now and they have always worked to a really high standard and on time. Would highly recommend using them.

Threatened to be punched in the face and told to go to India by someone working at one of their sites.Not a customer but we had the misfortune of living next to a property where this company were doing work.I went to get something from our car when a person working at one of this company’s sites launched into a verbal attack and repeatedly threaten to punch me in the face because I said hello. He told me to go to India and kept telling me he was going to hit me in the face. The police were fantastic and responded really quickly. I was really glad I did not have my 2 year old or my other half with me at the time.I understand it was a relative of someone who works for the company, who was gaining some work experience but it is hard not to think it was the result of how poorly the relationships with neighbours were managed. When I complained to the company they were more concerned with defending their diversity policy, rather than acknowledging that something went wrong and that they should do something different to ensure it does not happen again. Every time we have communicated with them about the works the response has been defensive, rather than engaging to show an understanding that they were working within close proximity of other properties and families with young children. It was surprising as we had wished them luck with completing the works. I understand the party wall awards may have been treated as guidelines by the company rather than an agreement between property owners, which may have caused some complications and frustration. Hopefully this could be done better in future.I hope the company takes a different approach in future and treats people living in neighbouring properties with more consideration and respect. Hopefully that would make it a nicer experience for their own people working at site and prevents similar attacks from happening to someone else. As we were looking for someone to do building works at the time, we were glad to be able to rule them out and thankfully they have stopped sending me unsolicited email adverts! We would not trust them in our home.

We recently had London Builders & Decorators do a full refurbishment and extension on our house in SW London.From start to finish, the process has been very smooth. The job was efficiently run and communication throughout the job was consistent and professional. This kept mine and my wife’s minds at rest.The works have been finished to a brilliant, quality standard, and the level of the team was very professional.I’d happily recommend LB&D to others needing similar works.

Good experience working with these guys. Stefano and the team did a great job with my place and were keen to consult on all the key decisions taking place, even keeping in touch when I had to go abroad for work. Well priced and easy to engage. Had some issues with pinning down a start date but that was largely down to a large demand for builders at the time.

We had the misfortune of being adjacent to a major project by London Builders and Decorators over the past year, and their approach to those adjacent to their work was one of maximum disrespect.- the site was a constant mess beyond any acceptable standard, and they used the pavement and road as a workplace and storage facility. The attached photo includes a fridge which was fly tipped in front of the property with ancient food in it for any child to discover- the project was ongoing during the first two covid lockdowns, and no covid compliant work practices were ever observed to have been followed- LBAD are terrible communicators, and though we repeatedly asked for this to be improved as the work intensified, they refused. All communication had an adversarial nature to it at best, and at worst they were outright dishonest- many terms of the party wall agreements weren't respected, especially regarding making disruptive noise beyond the agreed to hours. Occasionally they needed reminding that their swearing could be heard by children in adjacent gardensIf you have any concerns about the impact of your work on your neighbourhood, then do not consider London Builders & Decorators.-------------Charlie responded to this review with a hostile personal attack on me, filled almost entirely with statements he knows not to be true. It turns out that the only way I can correct this misinformation is by amending my original review. So... to clarify—He implies that I attempted to delay the project, while the truth was that all delays were caused by large inaccuracies in the building plan measurements, and more than anyone I worked to actively correct these mistakes in a timely manner.The fly tipped fridge with the years old food was not responsibly disposed of— it was in front of the property for 11 days, in the middle of summer during the height of lockdown. Lambeth eventually gave the project a formal warning over the persistent state of mess around the skip and site.I never in my review refer the right to work while under lockdown. I just pointed out that the project spanned most of 2020, and I never saw Charlie or his crews ever practice any Covid safe work measures.Charlie also accuses me of continuously taking photos. This too isn’t accurate, though I did document when the work crossed over into our property, and the many times that LBaD broke the terms of the party wall agreement, most persistently by doing loud work outside the agreed upon hours. Charlie chose to withdraw all communication with us as the work caused maximum disruption to our attempt to work and educate our 7 year old from home.Beyond that I stand by everything I have written as honest and accurate. I can’t speak whether LBaD do good work or not, though I have extensive experience as to how they show active disrespect to those with properties adjacent to the work they are doing. If this is a possible concern of yours when hiring a contractor... it’s simple— look elsewhere.

I have worked with Charlie and his team on many refurbishment projects as a designer and project manager.Charlie is always professional, prompt and his quotes are transparent and well priced. The standard of work is very good. If there are ever any issues, which is often the case during building works, these are always swiftly and efficiently seen too. It hasn't been an easy year for construction companies but Charlie and his team have still be able to deliver projects on time and on budget for me.I wouldn't hesitate to recommend LDB, Charlie, Ollie and their team.

Charlie at London Builders and Decorators did a terrific job in our Fulham Flat- installing new kitchen, underfloor heating and bathroom and managed to carry out the work quickly and Charlie is very responsive and still helps with any last minute queries and advice on building works. I would highly recommend!

London Builders & Decorators surpassed my expectations on every level. They completed work to my house on time, within budget and were professional throughout. They’ve made my house look exactly as I’d hoped and their team was friendly, tidy and really have done an exceptional job. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend them and will definitely use them again.

London Builders & Decorators conducted an extensive renovation on our London flat - including a side and rear extension plus full re-decoration internally. They were excellent - professional, knowledgeable, responsive and patient with our many requests through the build and we were extremely impressed with them. They went above and beyond to ensure that the quality of the build and the finish was top notch. There were occasions when we changed our minds on stylistic finish/positioning of items and they were always accommodating and happy to rearrange things. They also gave excellent advice on what products to use and overall design concept.We would highly recommend them to anyone looking to renovate or build/ re-decorate and have immense respect for how hard-working and professional these guys are. Renovating a ground floor flat in central London in the middle of lockdown was a very difficult task and they faced a lot of challenges / neighborhood opposition during the build but they remained professional, dedicated and delivered an amazing result. Could not be happier!

Great experience with London Builders & Decorators. I used Charlie and the team to undertake refurbishment and decorating work on my whole house recently. Very simple process to agree a fixed price quote following a site visit and the guys were on site a couple of weeks later. Work completed on time and to a very high standard despite the tight timescale I requested and a number of tricky items of work.Great company, very competitive pricing and an excellent service. Highly recommend !
