Skuna Boats Lakeside Essex

We hired out the skuna BBQ boat and I must say it was an amazing experience! Everything was pretty much seamless, John was fantastic, he signposted me right up until the day of the experience- his customer service was second to none! I’d highly recommended this experience for any group size! The team at skuna lakeside were very professional, they made sure we were comfortable with the controls before sailing off- I’d recommend this for a celebration or just a nice day/evening out! I can’t recommend enough and I’ll definitely be returning!

We met JanTo on arrival who was so accommodating and helpful. You get full safety training including how to use the BBQ it is absolutely amazing it’s all so organised and it was a relaxing exciting experience I hired two boats such good fun having the bbq will definitely do it again thank you SKUNA

Had a great experience at Skuna Lakeside, It was a great time on the BBQ boat and we all had such fun that it flew by! We also appreciated that our 1 year old could join us by wearing a life jacket, Ironically I had planned to not take her but my partner said to and I was very glad we did as she love it and it was something different for us all. I would HIGHLY recommend experiencing it for yourselves. We’ll be booking the hot tub boat next!

I booked the skuna boats a few weeks ago, best thing I did for summer this year. John especially made the experience so good. He personalized the experience to us and made sure we felt safe. He even came out on his boat to check everyone was fine as it was only two of us. He gave us a room to change in, boxes for our phones, water & a free bottle of Prosecco! We had plenty of time on the boats due to a cancellation after us so we got more worth our money. Finally, John makes the experience more unique & the boats themselves make you feel so refreshed after. Such a good experience.- Michaela / Georgia (lakeside is definitely the better area for the boats as it had better scenery and a open river at the back which is so pretty)!

What an absolutely unreal experience definitely a bucket list item ticked of... John was simply amazing he went above and beyond to make our trip the best time ever from start to finish it was just absolutely fantastic thank you so much for helping us celebrate in style!

We booked he BBQ boats for a birthday outing and it was an amazing experience! John was absolute brilliant host and even catered to us coming a little late due to traffic. The team were fantastic and really made us feel welcome. We really enjoyed the BBQ boats albeit it was a little chilly! If you do go in late summer it would be best to take some warm scarves! It’s a bring your own food but utensils are provided.It was a really enjoyable experience and the team really catered to our needs. I would definitely return again. It’s a 10/10 for me :)

Had a surprise birthday experience for my partner and he really enjoyed the skuna BBQ boat. We were a group of 6, John was such a good host. He was very helpful and friendly. Even though we were running late, John allowed us to have the full time to enjoy the experience. I would definitely come back and recommend to others. Thank you very much for your support. I booked a Hot Tub boat as a surprise as something to do on my daughters 18th birthday. We were not disappointed! Jay was really helpful & informative & gave a lesson on how to stear the boat. We watched a safety video before as well.The boat was easy to manoeuvre. You can use a huge area of the lake. The hot tub was hot!! & filled up just for us. It was emptied and cleaned out as soon as we were out & changed. Nice changing area, no showers or toilets, but this is stated in the emails you receive when book.Would highly recommend this experience! I'd like to try the bbq next!

The experience was amazing. They were very particular with our safety, supplied life jackets for one of us who can’t swim. Proper and appropriate orientation was given to us (especially the captain) on how to manoeuvre the boat and operate the grill (gas) as well. Safety features were available in case of fire such as fire blanket and fire extinguisher. Also, they have rescue staff who comes to you incase you get stuck on the banks. Overall, we felt safe and we enjoyed the experience very much. Great for family and/or group of friends who would want to go barbecue with a twist.

My friends booked the hot tub boat as my birthday present and honestly was the funniest experience ever! John and Georgia were absolutely fantastic made sure we were comfortable and ensured we had the best time, I honestly can not fault them! Will 100000% be coming back!! Only thing I will say is they don’t have there alcohol license to sell drinks yet so make sure you bring any drinks you would like for the boat!
