Essex Door Stripping

Amateurs! DO NOT USE! Sent 5 antique doors to be dipped, complete nightmare trying to arrange re-delivery, never answer the phone, then couldn't find our order. When the doors did arrive, every single one was damaged and one was completely broken in half! When I called them they hung up on me. I kept trying and eventually they gave me an email address to make a complaint, to which I had no response to. Complete waste of money and will now cost me hundreds to buy new doors throughout my house.

I just wanted to express my appreciation for that Essex Door Stripping recently did on my doors. They were able to strip down the old, weathered, stripping and install brand new door stripping that looks a lot better. I know I was very risk averse but they were very patient with me and explained all of the steps in detail so I felt comfortable with their prices and expertise. I will recommend them to anyone who needs this...❤️

Foreign company. No boss or person in charge to speak to. Little English spoken by anyone. Our 9 doors were taken and we were told 1-2 weeks until returned. 1-2 weeks passed, so I called, and was told they were due back in 2 days. 2 days passed, I called back and was spoken to like utter utter garbage. I was shouted at, spoken over, interrupted. It’s the worst service I have ever received. I am firstly a customer and should be spoken to in a professional manor. This awful woman then told me my doors won’t be ready for another 7 days. We went round and round with me eventually asking to speak to a manager. I was told in broken English that he doesn’t live in this country and there’s no one else I can speak to. 30 minutes later I eventually got off the phone to her with no answers to any of my questions. When the doors were eventually returned, half of them were put on the wrong bracket, no handles were connected, all of the small mechanisms were missing which I now have to go snd find and buy myself (difficult given our doors are over 50 years old) and what’s worse, I paid for a sanding job but there were still staples and all sorts of snags in them. This company has no idea what they’re doing. And absolutely NO IDEA how to treat their customers. Disgusted.

Essex Door Stripping is a great company. I live in the Bay Area and they don't have any local competitors. They always do an amazing job and stay on top of things. The customer service is also really helpful, so I would definitely recommend them to anyone in need of door stripping service.

Fantastic service sent my 10 solid pine internal doors to be dipped, stripped and neutralised. They were collected on the Saturday and delivered the following Wednesday. All in great condition and I paid over the phone using my card when they were dropped off. Had a few queries as I hadn't had this done before and they were really helpful! Would recommend and use again

Essex Door Stripping is awesome. I had a problem with my door not shutting and they came out to fix it the same day. I was really impressed with their professionalism and how quickly they fixed the problem!❤️

I phoned Essex Door Stripping, last Thursday, to ask for a quote to strip a Victorian four piece toilet seat. They collected on time Friday morning and returned this morning.I can only speak for myself, but the service and communication has been really good and the refurbishment of the Victorian toilet has been professionally done to a high standard. Thank you Joan

If I could give the company no stars I would! Appalling service, they delivered doors without carrying out the work I asked for so they had to take them back. At the time of booking they told Me delivery would be on a Friday which worked perfectly for me. They then told me they'd deliver on a Thursday which I declined and had to wait, constantly calling me on an unknown number at an inconvenient time to which I had to decline their calls (they would not give up 18 cancelled calls in total, I was at a funeral) doors finally arrive a month later today, charged me an extra £20 to store the doors even though Iv been unable to contact them and they wanted to deliver at a date not agreed, I'd paid extra for the doors to be re-hung the driver dumped all doors in the hallway and drove off. AVOID THIS COMPANY THEY ARE SCAMMERS!!!
