We were buying a detached property in Bathford last year, where there was Knotweed disturbing the patio and the mortgage application was initially rejected by Natwest. The survey was done immediately whilst everything was explained in detail, yet clearly. A management plan was provided within 2 days and I particularly liked the fact there was no sales pitch at all. Just sold my late mother’s house in Easton which had Japanese Knotweed near the boundary at the rear, which we literally had no idea about and was a complete hammer-blow. Did have another company round who wanted more money and they just didn't answer our questions clearly. We purchased a property just outside Caldicot in 2017. Inherited a bamboo problem which we had no idea about and shortly after realised why the patio was fragmented (concealed by the previous owner). Tried to do some DIY removal on several occasions over the last few years, although wasn’t making a great deal of progress (extremely difficult & labour intensive) so sought professional help.Carwyn suggested the solution and explained what they would be doing in advance. The work was timely and everything was left spotless when they left. To date we have seen no evidence of the bamboo returning and in hindsight, we should have initiated someone years ago, as it would have alleviated a lot of stress.
