Highlighted in “One of the top 5 places to hangout in Edinburgh“ it’s a cosy place to visit.Tho it’s quite a new place (opened 2 years ago) it offers a great choice of selections for drinks.I remember speaking to the bar tender who told they have around more than 125 malts.So it’s a good place to visit even if you’re an expert or a novice.

I’ve been living in Edinburgh for nearly a year now, and after visiting so many pubs. Black cat will always remain a favourite. The staff is so knowledgeable, quick, keep it clean when it’s busy and are always hospitable. Yesterday for another wonderful after work dram season, Ben picked out a perfect selection of whisky’s for us to try and he nailed every single one. Thanks Ben! we will be back… of course.

Amazing place live.scottish music will take you the the sky of high land.They have some beautiful art on each wall , a welcoming staff and they have some good Scottish beer . You must visit this place . One of my favorites.

Enjoyed a few whiskeys and bar snacks. Great live music Sunday afternoon! Knowledgeable staff was very helpful in recommending a whiskey to try. Lovely, cozy spot!

I loved the beers but i didnt lije the fact that was nothing to eat with the beer and wasnt no music.But i have to add that you can buy what ever you like in another place and eat it there with your drinks

Stopped by for a weekday lunch and really enjoyed everything about it. Chill vibes, outdoor seating, friendly helpful service, local beer offerings, plenty of whiskey (not just scotch! They had a few bourbons too), food was tasty. They had vegetarian options, and the chips were delicious. Perfect spot for a good beer and simple food sitting outside on a nice day.

Nice little/micro pub with a good selection of drinks and good young atmosphere.We stopped for drinks and food in the evening but unfortunately we did not know that the food was served until until the afternoon so we enjoyed only the a few drinks and then head to a restaurant.Inside is not very large but you have more space in the tables outside, which I guess will be busier at lunch time.We just stopped once during our short visit to Edinburgh but we will surely come back on our next trip.
