Just enjoyed a lovely quiche and salad. A very sweet cafe, very friendly staff, lovely food, and Monmouth coffee - what more could you ask for?The owner was really accommodating and also interested to hear about vegan options which was great for me. Said they could change meals as needed. Also they sell penny sweets, handmade chocolates and ice cream ☺️

The food may be somewhat okay, as a patisserie, everything is edible and tasty. What definitely sways me from ever coming back again is the owner.Absolute disregard for staff overall well-being as it seems, not very friendly, seems to have more words than sense to use them and definitely has an over privileged sense of status. The owner should consider the things she says about customers, staff and people during her ‘gossip time’ on the phone or with her ‘peers’ as sound travels. The young working staff there all are impressionable, friendly and very kind (as hospitality staff go). It’s a strange concept to be put off by the business owner rather than the staff working, but it’s more than evident here.

This shop is adored by local children and affectionately known as the cake shop and its easy to see why. The pastries, cakes and chocolate are so eye catching. They've also packed in so many favorites in amazingly quite a small space, ice cream, gourmet chocolate balls, a huge selection of pastries, pick and mix sweets and enough table and chairs I would say for 16 to 20 people.I spontaneously ordered a sausage roll the other day as I was hungry. I'm not really a sausage roll eater but I came back a second time for another sausage roll within the same week. When I last came in it was with children to get them cakes and sweets the food looked amazing and the staff dealt very well with the influx of children.I know there are competitors that belong to chains locally and I would say come here and not the chain. The pastry here is so good, so light and fluffy. All of the products look amazing. On the whole staff are very nice too.

Relaxing tea with delicious pastry reading a book and watching the world go by. Owner is very accommodating. Please support these local businesses. They really deserve it. Visited again today and enjoyed a homemade crumble alongside an iced coffee - delicious!

This is not a pâtisserie any more, it's a cafe with a few pastries and only one menu for all customers. Wrong food served to our table twice, drinks arrived after food was finished after chasing three times, waitress had a full on meltdown and walked out then back again, salt & pepper never forthcoming. More of a drama then a meal.

Awful customer service. I ordered coffee and a chocolate macaron. The coffee was fine. The macaron was awful. Solid (I struggled to break it with a fork) and stale. I would assume that a decent “patisserie” would know that a good macaron should be crunchy on the outside and chewy on the inside. However, when my partner took the macaron back into the shop (we were eating outside) he was told that they were meant to be like that and that if I wanted something soft I should have ordered something else, like a lemon tart. Appalling food. Appalling rudeness and customer service. We will not be going there again.

Overheard a very unpleasant conversation where the owner was insulting another customer when in the shop today. There are enough other places nearby that sell similar items - so I for my part will avoid this place in the future.
