Peaceful place, great for a short walk the leads onto Wath wood.There's not much of the pottery left but enough to be worth a visit.

Knowing some of the history behind the pottery I was keen to see the remainder of the site, From the road this site promiess a lot but delivers disappointment in bundles, yet again Rotherham Council are failing to keep what precious history there is in the surrounding area and believe me there is a hell of a lot! Which goes to prove that historic sites and buildings should not be in the care of such people.

Nice little bit of local history! Nothing to do here, so If taking children, kids may get bored. However my son loves history so we have a wander here now and then. Could have a little picnic on grass, as the area is big enough for that. Some ducks on pond. Small car park area, fits about 5 cars maybe! Worth a little look if passing :) Short little walk for dogs! Very quiet place. Been both in week and in school holidays, and rarely anyone there when we've been.

An interesting curio of local history, the kiln is a great insight into Old industrial micro manufacturing.It has a strange history, being used as a temporary hospital at one point for contagious patients in the late 1800s and early 1900s.In 10 minutes you've seen all you need to see, but a fascinating little diversion if your out that way.

Nice place, not a lot for people to see but ok if you're walking and come upon it or like me on an e bike. ( then I fell off bike on hill and fractured my ankle.)lol (see 1 pic)

Lovely place to take a wander, also with the huge bonus that there is a doggy day care there too so you get to see all the happy doggos living their best life. Would recommend definitely. Lovely place to take a picnic.

There is one kiln here and two ponds, you cannot go inside the kiln as it is locked but you can look inside. There is parking for about 6 cars and a field to walk your dog on or picnic.

Really enjoyed the walk round and the old pottery kiln is intact just a shame there's no much else to do there the ponds are a no no as they have lots of old tree branches and god only knows what else in them
