Persimmon Homes St Peters Place

In May 2021, we went to view the Persimmon show house, this was our first property viewing and we did not have serious plans to purchase a house.. the decision was made immediately and we moved in at the end of October 2021.We were 1st time buyers (two bedroom house) and the whole experience was incredibly smooth, quick and easy.We received a £10,000 Early Bird offer on finishing touches. We could customize our new home and use part of the sum to cover the Solicitor's charges.Persimmon staff have been professional and friendly. Getting through to the office by phone wasn't always easy, but updates were prompt and the site office staff were very helpful and Kev has been so great!Kev has been looking after us since day one and always goes the extra mile to make sure we are happy in our new home. He deals with any issues pretty much immediately and he is always happy to share his know-how and give us professional advice on 'how to attach a TV on a wall', 'How to chose and install stairs to the attic' etc. .. we are so grateful for him! :)We love our new house and we would highly recommend to purchase property here.Also the position of the development is perfect for as, now we can avoid majority of the busy roundabouts in central Salisbury.

Went to visit some friends and was pleasantly surprised to find the development is almost complete now. And the houses do not look bad at all. Our friends who have bought do not have any serious complaints apart from regular snagging issues. And I heard the complaint management process has improved and turnaround time is a bit sooner.Lots of green areas and there's a primary school on site. No shopping mall or stores though.

Please don’t buy waste services and very cheep products with in two years floor Coming out leaking lost of the pipes crack cupboards are peeling off ho terrible

The houses are put up fast but plenty of people report issues, not just snagging and general build quality but also major issues such as walls not being bolted down, mould, brick work needing to be redone etc. Persimmon are very charming when buying a house but ignore you when you need snagging or major issues to be fixed (due to the poor build quality). Some people on the estate have been waiting 3 years for simple fixes. The kid’s playground is still not open after 5 years of being started! Over winter a lot of people’s boilers broke despite most of these houses being less than a year old. This is poor build quality using the cheapest contractors and materials. Avoid!

St Peter’s Place is a lovely area. New development- different mix of house types. Open Space, etc
