Gingerbread 2 Nursery

if i could put the review below 1 star i would do it shame on you.My 6 sons attended this school and they all returned home 3 times as sad, i am very disappointed and angry at miss bains

This review is written by my 7 year old, and his experience of the nursey a few years ago.. he was only in there a short time but the below is his own account.‘’I did not like it because I had no friends and the teachers never did any arts and crafts with me, and teachers never helped me to play with others. I sat there all day waiting for mummy and daddy…I hated the place. Teachers never speak to me’’After I went to Monkey Puzzle and it was lovely. Two people spoke to me and became my friends. We always played together. The teachers were very nice and they always helped me, if I got hurt my teachers always gave first aid. Monkey puzzle is brilliant.

I have had an appalling experience with this nursery and its senior staff as a parent and as a local community member. I chose to send my son here as my little brother went to gingerbread years ago. However, I soon regretted this as I was constantly blindsided by the staff on the well-being of my child. The senior staff lack general manners in speaking to parents as they don’t respect a child’s privacy and choose to discuss matters at the gates when you collect your child. On top of this they are not consistent in nurturing the children as they are busy cutting costs where they can and jeopardising a small child’s health and well-being; whether it’s in matters of the food, nappies or toilet training and sometimes not even taking them to the toilet due to shortage of staff. I was glad to have pulled my child out after 2 months as I was concerned how they treat children while they are speaking rudely to their own staff in front of parents. They are very quick to send invoices and chase payments when most the time they are billing incorrectly?! This nursery and its senior staff are not capable of Gingerbread 2 at all! Don’t send your kids here!!!

Ginger Bread Nursery - Oadby is an exceptional place for children's development, with a strong focus on their growth and potential. Mrs. Singh and Mrs. Baines form a power duo, providing excellent care. Special thanks to Kiri, Umaimah, and the baby room staff for helping Trisha settle in and thrive. The nursery played a significant role in Trisha's walking milestone. The top-notch cleanliness, punctuality, and professionalism, along with reasonable pricing, make this nursery stand out. They offer a variety of clean, hygienic, and nutritious food. The staff ensures Trisha doesn't miss outdoor activities. We feel incredibly lucky to have chosen Ginger Bread Nursery for Trisha's first nursery experience. Highly recommended!

My son is in the toddler room and absolutely loves Dawn & Zara. He looks forward to going in on his days. I would highly recommend Gingerbread 2, the staff have been brilliant and will honestly do whatever they can to help. A big thank you to all the teachers !

Excellent facilities and childcare standards at gingerbread. All the staff are friendly and professional.

I believe people will only leave negative reviews on sites like these and when things are going well, won’t take the time to leave a positive review.So here we go; my son has been attending the nursery for some time now and the attention he receives from the nursery staff is outstanding. He comes home extremely happy and excited to tell me what he has been up to.Keyworkers will carry out activities to continually improve his and the other children’s development. They have a lot of love for each child and you can see that in the work that they do there.He has been encouraged to eat by himself and we have been supported to toilet train him. He has transitioned from class to class seamlessly and has not had any grumbles when attending the nursery.We regularly receive observations and updates on the nursery app to see how our son is doing on a day to day basis.The staff arrange trips out with the children, fun days and other events.Management of the nursery and keyworkers, are happy to listen to feedback and accept any new ideas parents may have and will implement these.

Lovely nursery, they care for children. Only if nursery can focus on academics and supporting potty training then it would be a 5star.

Never send your preschool age here (can't say for younger) especially if they are SEN. The worst Discriminatory people against those with learning difficulties I've ever met. If you need to use gingerbread use gingerbread cottage playgroup across the road Mrs mehta is lovely although even the managerial staff at gingerbread 2 like to put in roadblocks for her and the team to do stuff with SEN children
