Hertz Car Hire - London - St Pancras
No one initially at the counter. 12.30 on a July Friday. The attendant did return shortly thereafter. I then waited almost one hour with no other customers. The attendant needed to take photos of the previous rental damage but was unable to file Or upload his damage report (apparently because the “systems are slow” because of a poor phone signal - the office is in a car park. They don’t have WiFi ). I do not blame the attendant who was perfectly courteous. Other than the aforesaid minor wheel damage (copy attached) the car was fine. But this delayed the rental by over one hour.

Avoid this company at all costs. We do not recommend this Hertz at all. We have had nothing but trouble from London st Pancras. We are still waiting more than 8 weeks now for our money to be refunded to us after we were charged for an extra days rental- which we were assured by Jose would be given back to us on return of the car- after he stated we could have the car an extra hour free of charge.There is also absolutely no customer service from this store or Hertz in general if you need help. You cannot speak to anyone at the front desk on the phone as they never answer, or when you call the main number it is an automated response. They claim to have a live chat which never connects so you have no choice but to send send an email which takes days to get a response and you get someone different answering each time.We just want Hertz to refund us our money as promised!!Would never hire a car from them after this experience.

I highly recommend this place, customer service at a high level, especially Mr. Nabil, a professional man in the right place. I drove over 1000 miles with electric Polestar and it was a great experience. It's not so hard like everyone says. Thank you guys!

This is probably more a warning than a review. Originally we had booked a small car for a short 2 day trip to the Cotswolds.We were enthusiastically upsold an electric car for an extra £100. The promise of a bigger more luxurious car. I was reluctant to try electric as I know in Australia the electric network is still fairly new. Jose promised the Cotswolds and back is no problems, plenty of charging stations, takes 20minutes to charge 75%.We were given the car at 84% battery and I almost immediately regretted the decision.- Car charging is incredibly sparse in and around the Cotswolds.- The bays that we did find usually are occupied, damaged, faulty card reader or only the 22kw. It takes several hours to even charge 50%.- We literally lost hours and hours of our trip searching and waiting to get enough charge to keep travelling.- We tried the adapter and a standard 3 point power supply that did not work. Even then it can take 36hrs to charge on mains power.- The petrol stations that had broken charge points where unhelpful and basically ignore you.I can not explain the anxiety and stress you feel every time you approach a charge point. It has basically ruined our trip. If we had just stuck with our original car, would of filled up once and been on our way.Slough had 2 rapid chargers that where out of service. On 25% now, speaking to Jose on the phone I stressed the predicament we’re in. He mentioned we wouldn’t get assistance as it’s Sunday. Drive to the next charger, it’s that easy! We honestly could not wait around all day if we needed a truck in any case.Our third and last option was a Shell at Heathrow, surly enough all bays where covered up and out of service. We had to leave the car and taxi into Pancras Hertz as to not miss our departing train.What a nightmare. Never once explained the complexities and quirks with electric. Or given a realistic time frame on charging. Obviously this ended up costing us heavily. More than double the original cost and has tarnished our country trip.

Fraudulent. This station is currently attempting to fraudulently charge me over 900 pounds for vehicle damages that did not happen during my rental period. I have email acknowledgement from the station supervisor (Jose Marques) that the damages were not mine and all damage charges would be removed. After I left the country, Hertz UK charged me $1200 for damages. I’ve opened up a dispute with my credit card company and will be opening up a legal dispute with Jose and UK Hertz unless the charges are dropped.

Avoid Hertz at London St. Pancras by all means!!I read lots of negative reviews here and thought that it could be random comments and decided to give Hertz a chance since it's an international brand, however, i were very wrong! all the negative comments here are right!I've pre-booked a Vauxhall Astra or similar which is category C car as per Hertz standard with full insurance months ago before my arrival. Upon my arrival, the person who attended to me Jose, first keep persuading me to add on insurance for emergency road service and upgrade the car which i'd booked, i politely turn down his suggestion since i only need a basic car to fit in 2 of my luggage and 3 of us and we intend to just travel surrounding London. This Jose then told me that he don't have the car which i'd booked and instead he offered me another similar car which i happily agreed, however, when he deliver the car to me, to my surprise that it's an extremely small car and the car booth hardly fit in one of my baggage and the 3rd passenger can't even sit comfortably.I said this is not the same category car i'd booked but Jose INSISTED that it's the same category and furthermore teased on me that since i don't want to upgrade then this is the car he can give to me. I went to Hertz website and found out that car is one category below what i actually booked and paid for and showed it to Jose, only he admit it is not same and said he can refund me the difference, but i told Jose he has been very dishonest and most important i can't take that car even he refund to me cos the car is too small to fit us. Eventually i compromised and wanna pay extra to upgrade to a bigger car and guess what, this ignorant Jose told me off no car for me to upgrage anymore!! (he had just keep asking us to upgrade 15 minutes ago!!)I then cancelled the booking and walk to next door Sixth to rent a Audi A5 at a much lower price which previously Jose offered to me for an upgrade.I'll never step in Hertz anymore!! Hertz, if you see this, do something on your arrogant & dishonest staff by the name of JOSE!

No issue whatsoever from pick-up to returning the car. I did willingly choose to take the SuperCover offer. I did have some minor scratches on one alloy due to a reckless driver coming my way being on my line forcing me into a curb. Due to that not being my faut, the insurance took it all and I was on my way.I did have very good contact with José who did insist on me having an upgrade at no extra cost.I would rent from them again definitely !

We had booked a car with an alternate provider, however, on the day of pick up they were a no show. We thought our planned road trip was no longer going to be able to go ahead but then we received some amazing customer service from both Nabil and Arbaz. They were able to help us with making a last minute booking and ensuring that the car we now hired offered everything we needed (and more) for our two week road trip around the UK. A big thank you to Nabil for going above and beyond to help us out and ensure our travel journey was able to stay on track. The car was awesome and offered everything we needed!

Jose the head of the St Pancras office refused to give us our prebooked car because he said that our Belgian driving license wasn’t eligible in the Uk . Which isn’t true ! He decided not to give us the car while we were with a 4 month old baby. This is the worst customer experience ever. We have had to book another car at competition desk last minut for more than 2x the price. We expected more from such a reknown company! We would like you to compensate for the distress, anxiety and costs caused.Your customer care team does not seem to respond - we have emailed them about 2 weeks ago with no response. This is unacceptable customer experience !Avoid Hertz at St Pancras at all cost!
