What a great pub! Staff are fab, especially the landlady, Michelle.Great music, great drinks choice and whilst I didn't get to sample it the food smelt delicious!

We had a lovely Sunday roast dinner. It was really busy but we didn't have to wait too long to be served. The staff are friendly and the service was great. We'll definitely go again.

Came here today for Sunday dinner and it was fabulous, we all had the beef and could not fault it at all, the extras are priced well at £2.50 each and we opted for the cauliflower cheese and it was spot on. The roast potatoes are actually amazing and couldn’t believe how crispy they are. Usually roasties on a pub Sunday dinner are rubbish but these ones are spot on. 100% will be returning. Great atmosphere busy boozer and really friendly staff.

Just a Sunday roast at the stockdove Romiley. Absolutely first class very tasty ,big portions. Service was brilliant. Highly recommended.

9 of us with an age range of 1-65 had a delicious Sunday lunch here today. We had the traditional roast and the vegetarian options and all was hot and generous portions. Michelle and her team were friends and helpful, and nothing was too much trouble. Highly recommended! Thank you for making a family reunion extra special.

We struggled to get into the pub as the door was blocked by 2 smokers who were reluctant to move out of the way. Then as we walked in the whole place fell silent and everyone literally turned and stared at us. We had gone there as it had advertised it was selling food, once we found the person serving and asked if they were serving they just said no" and nothing else. We felt like we were intruding and not welcome so we left and went to the Duke of York who were the total opposite

Very good. Had the senior combo pate which was well presented. Followed this with the cheese and onion pie,chips peas and gravy. recommended.

Nicki was lovely especially helping us with our orders as can only eat small portions. Will definitely be back, food was great xx
