Helical Gearboxes & Foxberry Garage LTD

My car had a cracked sump which the garage accurately identified.I supplied them with a salvaged part which they cleaned in their parts washer machine to a very high standard, see photo below.They installed it with great care cleaning the engine side underneath before adding the new liquid gasket and letting it cure overnight before filling the engine with fresh oil.The work was carried to a very high standard and its holding up perfectly a month after the repair.This garage is the best place to go for heavy work on the powertrain, no doubt about it.Thank you very much!

Today I had another great experience with my regular garage, Helical. Paul Eley, one of the owners, went above and beyond to fix a dodgy part I had supplied him with for my old Chrysler. It's actually a pleasure going to this garage because they seem to care! And are expert too. Brilliant general cleaning local garage as well as gears specialist. Use 'em!

Thanks for Paul and the team for repairing the clutch on my Peugeot 308 so promptly. I need the car to get the work so the fact they did it in a couple of days was really appreciated. As always a great repair at a competitive price and most of all a cheerful service.

Very impressed with the guys at Helical. After the last car service I was advised to get the gearbox checked for a suspected oil leak. After inspection the Helical mechanics agreed that there wasn’t anything that needed attention, the car is just getting old (17 yr old Audi A3). No charge for the inspection/advice. I was convinced they know what they are talking about and will definitely use them again if anything actually goes wrong with the gearbox.

I've been a regular customer of the Foxberry Garage for the past six years. They do quality work, always give an honest assessment, and if they don't provide a specific service, they recommend good quality providers. All the mechanics I have dealt with over the years have been friendly and polite. They replaced a bulb for me this week and refused payment. I highly recommend this garage.

After a few months of getting my wheels aligned at National tyres, I began getting a loud humming and vibrating sound from my vehicle. I took it to my local mechanic, they told me that it was the bearings inside my gearbox, after they raised the car into the air and listened to the supposed.They told me that it was a very big job that needs to be done. I knew about Foxberry garage as I have driven past there on my travels before, I knew that they specialise in these type of things so I took it there for them to have a look at it.Once I had arrived there, I explained exactly how the car feels and sounds, at what speeds as well. One of the guys there took me out for a test drive, on arriving back to the garage he jumped out and ran his hand around the tyres. It's your rear nearside tyre that is the problem" he said. I really cannot rate Paul and his team more highly. My van started leaking petrol (very complicated issue for my old school vw campervan) they went out of their way to help make it safe and find the best solution. I feel very lucky to have turned up on their doorstep and had such amazing service. Thank you so much.

Can't recommend the garage enough. As first time car owners with little knowledge they were extremely helpful in advising on best way to get our car sorted and went above and beyond to make sure everything was fixed. Very reasonably priced and run by friendly people.
