Was ok, service was good. I had the Korean Chicken which was below average, it seemed like really cheap chicken that had been cooked previously, then warmed up and some sauce poured over it. My missus had the fajitas which were better than my Korean chicken, they were “different” - essentially think normal fajitas but cooked in Soy Sauce

Note: The restaurant is next to Nando's, not where Google Maps pins it at.Food dishes were fresh and tasty, not entirely authentic Korean, but very nice.Tapas and KFC ( Korean Fried Chicken) highly recommend.Friendly and helpful staff.

Good, central location. Good choice of menu for various pockets. Helpful staff. Could do with a little more explanation on the menu as to what exactly the sizes of some of the items are as not everyone knows. Under Korean BBQ on the menu, I did not understand what was meant by All dishes are raw marinated produce". So we had to keep asking the waitress to explain things to us. It would be helpful to perhaps add that it is suggested to order so many tapas or to add side dishes

Quite surprised about how good the food was, especially the crispy chicken! And the service was top! The manager was very well educated and very helpful to someone who was having Korean food for the first time!

Was excited and intrigued to try funky grilla - it wasn’t the absolute worst place we’ve eaten; but unfortunately wasn’t great.Being a big fan of Korean food - especially fried chicken having visited numerous New Malden Korean establishments and in Brighton & London - I was super excited at the prospect of amazing Korean fried chicken in Swindon, but I couldn’t have been more upset… this literally tasted like KFC southern fried chicken then deep fried again in a crunchy coating and some Asian glaze added… was super disappointed. The chicken was such cheap poor quality.The chips were good. My bf’s Pizza wasn’t so bad, just your standard average pizza. The Korean Fried nuggets were cheap quality chicken and super hard and the sauce was sickly!But the staff weren’t very attentive to have told them at the time that we weren’t happy with this, - the waiter did look at over half our meal left on the plates upon clearing and asked if we wanted to take it with us, to which we said no thank you but he couldn’t have cared had we complained anyway so begrudgingly paid full price.

Had dinner with friends here in Funky Grilla twice now, and once for drinks only. Ambiance is very nice for hanging out with friends. Decor is hip and fun.Menu has some really good comfort food options. Food was probably at or below expectation. Definitely not authentic Korean BBQ experience if that is what you’re looking for (I did). Nevertheless, cocktails were good with two-for-1 options that made overall experience good!

About as Korean as Lidl.The waitress had no idea about the menu... literally the basics of the job.Had a variety of things from the menu. Didn't enjoy any of it.The fried chicken was not Korean style. The yangnyum chicken" is basically just ketchup thrown on top of badly fried chicken. There was no Korean flavouring at all. The actual frying mix was worse than KFC

Looking for something to eat after the cinema and this intrigued us, we were not disappointed. Live music, delicious food, good selection of drinks, reasonably priced and lovely service. We had an excellent evening.

Love this place! The Korean Fried Chicken with Yangnyum sauce is fantastic, and everything I've tried on the tapas menu has been delicious. The Korean BBQ menu is a tad on the expensive side but a great experience and again can't fault the quality of the marinated meat, seafood, and vegetables. Even the pizza is very, very good (had that delivered rather than dine-in)! Staff were superb: very attentive and accommodating, though I'll note that we went on a quieter evening, so I don't know how well they handle a mad rush. Two dine-in visits and a number of Just Eat orders so far and really happy with the food on every occasion.
