Loved it. The place is fun, and so atmospheric, by the Lock Ness. Friendly staff and cozy interior. Food was really good as well, we enjoyed it!

Good experience overall. Smoked salmon was really nice, the Nessie Dragon pie was not as spicy as promised but good to dip the chips in. Friendly staff.2 courses with a soft drink and tip came to £29, that's a lot of money for me. Was it worth it? Sure, I'll be back, but more for the views . They were pretty awesome! Nice time in Fort Augustus, wel worth the bus journey. The nearby canal system with locks was really nice too.

Very meh. Our hotel recommended we come here and we were very underwhelmed.

Make sure to request one of the tables by the big windows when making your booking as there are only two — if you are at one of these tables (like we were) your view will be stunning! Everything we ordered was delicious as well, would highly recommend the chicken with haggis, Nessie's hot pot (essentially a pie), and the haggis/neeps/tatties. Would definitely come here again.

Tried to come here last Saturday evening but a wait of nearly two hours for a table, so ended up at Monster Fish and Chips. Knowing we would be back here tonight we booked this time. The aroma of the food being cooked is very appetising. It was very busy again so pleased we booked. Our table for four was reserved right by a large window offering amazing views of Loch Ness, as do the outside tables and chairs. The fish cake was very soft inside and spicy which was unusual. I enjoy spicy food so I enjoyed it. Having looked at other food photos online the kebabs looked the most appetising out of the main courses. The mixed kebab came with more meat than the Chicken Kebab. Served with a watery salad. It was okay but not amazing. We decided against dessert. Worth coming for the view, the food was acceptable although could have been better, although it does seem like a lot of effort goes in to it. I think the price reflects the location of the restaurant. All the staff were very pleasant. Worth going for a walk outside to take some photos of Loch Ness (rain coats recommended)! Starters, main course and one pint each for four people came to just over a hundred pound.

So disappointed. Came here a long time ago and it was a sweet little cafe with good food and lovely service. Unfortunately it has gone so far downhill that I feel the need to warn others about it.Firstly staff on their phones constantly and absolutely no atmosphere to the restaurant. The main issue is the food. Daylight robbery it should be called. £15 for a McDonald’s standard burger, in fact McDonald’s is fresher! The smallest bit of cheese is thrown on the super flat and frozen patty that tastes like it’s been at the bottom of the packet for a long time. Fish was okay for a frozen slab but like the burger, it was just thrown on the cheap looking plate. I hardly ever leave bad reviews but I’m just so shocked at how awful this place has become. The “spectacular view” that is their claim to fame will not lesson the blow of getting your bill or lesson the foul taste left by the food. Staff training and a competent chef team is needed. It’s a good job they serve mints on exit.

Restaurant at a fantastic site. Next to the abbey and just beside loch ness. Reservation almost certainly necessary but luckily there was a place left. Thanks to the lovely waitress. Food was excellent!

Overpriced for the quality of food. The menu could use a total rework. Most mains come with a side of untoasted tortilla for no apparent reason. The overhead lighting was very harsh, no candles on the table, and unfitting reggaeton music. There's a large Coca Cola fridge off to the side like in a kebab shop. Usually, that would go underneath the bar since only the bartender needs access to it.Staff was nice!

Nice little restaurant directly at Loch Ness shore. Withstanding the temperamental weather you might sit outside in their garden enjoying the view (or weather). All others are recommended to sit inside even if it is for a couple of minutes waiting in case you come without reservation. Service is quick, attentive and friendly. Cosy atmosphere. Food is good likewise tasty.

Not sure why some of the poor reviews. The food was really quite good! And the views are of course unbeatable. If you’re on Loch Ness and make it to the south side I’d recommend a lovely lunch here. Fish & chips, salmon, beef sausage appetizer, and vegetable casserole were all excellent.
