Change of ownership must have occurred and don’t imagine that they will be in business much longer. Took 50% deposit, a lot of false promises and claims and then radio silence. Ray is a nice guy and talks the talk but then failed to deliver and refuses to communicate. Have had to report to the police. AVOID at all costs

This is the most unreliable and unprofessional company I’ve ever had to deal with. Contacted Colney Windows to replace 6 of our windows and repair 2 doors in July. Quote was reasonable, so we accepted and paid the deposit (50%). Originally Ray promised to do the job in September but then cancelled the day before, blaming Covid. We understood, it was out of his control. Now it’s been over 20 weeks since we paid the deposit and we’ve hardly had any contact, it’s impossible to get hold of Ray, he never responds to phone calls. When he finally replied to one of many emails asking for the deposit back, Ray said he would refund the deposit. But he still hasn’t paid. We have given him plenty of opportunity to end this amicably, but it looks like he took the money and ran. This has caused us an awful lot of stress and we are now hoping to get our money back via a court claim. Bottom line, avoid Colney Windows and Ray Murphy at all costs.

Colney Windows and Doors fitted a new back door to my house and did a great job. The work was high quality, the door looks great and they cleaned up after themselves leaving no mess. I would 100% recommend them to replace any windows or doors.

Ray did a great job. Very high standard of finish. Trustworthy and reliable tradesman. Quietly efficient and very clean. We changed as couple of things on our order (frosted glass, handles on windows), nothing was a problem. Price was great also. We highly recommend him.

Gregg and his team did an amazing job at fitting new bedroom patio doors for us. Right from the initial consultation to the installation their professionalism was second to none. Expertly fitted and very tidy and considerate throughout the day. We are so pleased with them and will definately use Colney Windows and Doors in the future and would highly recommend them to anyone sourcing new products.

2018 install and not a brilliant experience. Some of it was weather based and appreciate that’s not in their control but the service around it missed the mark for us. Incorrect measurements, the wrong type of glazing in one window and a different colour trim to the window RAL colour. Ray was great in fixing everything that went wrong, we really appreciated everything he did and he has a lovely manner about him. We completed the second half of the job with an alternate company.

Doesn’t even deserve one star!RAY MURPHY came over and quoted for two windows. Asked for a deposit. Deposit was sent in December and was promised end of January fitting. Each time I contacted him he kept delaying. He hadn’t even ordered the windows as I asked for proof and he couldn’t provide this! He done all this knowing I was pregnant.He has done this to other people dating back to last summer.If he opens up a new glazing business make sure you avoid at all costs if their name is RAY MURPHY!PLEASE REPORT IF YOU HAVE BEEN A VICTIM!!

We have just had a brand new composite door fitted by Colney Windows and doors. This company provide an outstanding service, with an excellent product at exceptional value for money. I would thoroughly recommend them and will definitely be back for more! Thank you Gregg and the team at Colney Windows and doors!

Highly recommend this company, I called for a quotation and Ray came out the same day to measure up and received a quote not long after. Amazing value for money for my Victorian sash replacement windows. He was super polite, professional and clean and tidy, overall a great experience and would use again.
