What a lovely find. Great atmosphere, warm, friendly and welcoming. The landlady was very informative, helpful and friendly. We had read about the new chef so thought we would give it a go and have a drive out. The food was absolutely fantastic and cooked to perfection. Can't wait to go back!

Spent the night in York. Our stay at Saddle Inn was very nice. The staff were happy and friendly. Rebecca was very chatty and didn't avoid spending time with any of the customers. The room was very cosy and did exactly as it says on the tin. The breakfast was lovely. We were offered a choice and had a full English. We would definitely recommend staying here. An all round pleasant experience.

Absolutely awful experience, I was personally attacked by a rottweiler going to the toilet and after returning I was snapped at again. I was then verbally abused by the dog owner who was obviously on drugs and had a control over terrified the owners.After returning to my seat I was then approached by the male owner who asked me to leave for causing trouble. The land lady was very nice and was obviously intimidated by the local bald headed man high on drugs with the dangerous dog.Please be aware with children because only for my work trousers I would of needed stiches a child wouldn't be so lucky.

My boyfriend and I came here for a few drinks after travelling 4 hours. We couldn't have asked for a better place! Absolutely wonderful pub, couldn't fault the place whatsoever. Great atmosphere, very friendly staff and very clean. Will definitely be coming back!

Arrived here on a Sunny Saturday afternoon and the outside area was busy. After a minute or so wait welcomed by a smiley face and escorted to a table. We ordered cheeseburger and a pint and food came fairly promptly (15 minutes). Food good but my only criticism (it's a personal thing) is food on wooden boards, just don't like it!It's not cheap but definitely not the most expensive pub food we've had. It's really good to see a pub positively welcoming dogs and there were a few here when we visited.Nice place and definitely worth a visit. Great staff.

We have just returned home from a weekend stay as part of a party attending a wedding. Very friendly and accommodating landlady, excellent service, rooms were well presented. Lovely place to stay and has secure private car park too. We'd definitely stay again

If you're expecting a warm welcome then think again, the new landlord Is nothing but a control freak! You can't have fun in this pub! He won't let you play pool or sit where you want to sit! This has been a local for many years but we certainly Won't be spending money here while this landlord is still on his powe trip.

Great value B&B, we have had a drink in here many times as have friends in the area and it has always been great service with friendly staff and owners. We tried out the B&B when attending a christening and found the room (Room 1) very good for the price we paid. Very clean with a nice comfy bed and drink making facilities, both the vegetarian and meat breakfast where very good and filling and not surprisingly very good staff and service. Would definetly reccommend

On recommendation of this establishment we went after a long drive for a family gathering (wedding) and the service we received was absolutely appalling. They had 2 customers in as well as us and told us they did not feel comfortable serving us with no fault of our own the employee who told us to leave admitted we done nothing wrong. So we had to leave the pub with no fault of our own they were not busy and now I understand the reason why. If your looking for a nice evening DO NOT attend this pub the staff are ignorant arrogant people with clearly no experience or respect for customers. If I could give no stars I would. I am disgusted as well as my family. Residents in a pub near by even told us the pub is known for this. Avoid at all costs.
