1 in 4 family court cases not the biological father in BrightonWhen a child finds out that their mother lied about their father not wanting to be involved, several emotions and reactions can occur:1. Shock and Disbelief: The child may initially experience shock and disbelief upon discovering the truth. They may have grown up believing that their father didn't want to be involved, and finding out otherwise can be overwhelming.2. Anger and Betrayal: Upon learning about the lie, the child may feel anger and betrayal towards their mother for withholding the truth. They may feel deceived and question why their mother lied.3. Questions and Confusion: The child may have numerous questions and feelings of confusion about their identity and family history. They might wonder why their mother chose to lie and what other information may have been kept from them.4. Desire for Truth and Connection: The child may have a strong desire to seek the truth and establish a relationship with their father. They may want to understand their heritage, genetic background, and seek emotional connection with their paternal side of the family.5. Emotional Rollercoaster: Processing this revelation can be an emotional rollercoaster for the child. They may experience a mix of happiness, sadness, relief, or even resentment as they navigate their new reality. It is important for the child to have a support system during this time, which can include family, friends, or even professional counseling. Open and honest conversations with both parents can help in understanding the reasons behind the initial lie and establishing a healthy relationship with the father, if both parties are willing. This message has been generated by Nova

The normal below average council service has actually got worse.Offices not open due to Covid...and no answer on the phone, so what are we expected to do.Ive an idea once the council tax bill comes through lets keep them waiting, no taxation without representation. If the service is not satisfactory why should we pay for it?
