Terrible lip course

I enrolled at Chic Academy (Manchester) for Beauty Level 2 (co-funded) in November. During the 6 weeks I was there, I had different three tutors. The day we were due to break up for Christmas on 21st Dec, two members of Chic admin team turned up and advised us that they had lost their funding for our course because of government measures to try and encourage students back into community colleges instead of private training and the course was terminating. They advised the academy was being terminated on 31st March and staff were being made redundant. Our tutor had been made redundant 10 days before. It took the admin team 10 days to inform us students leaving us in the lurch last minute before Christmas as all the other academies and colleges had closed for two weeks so we couldn’t even make alternate arrangements. The majority of students in the class offered to come in for extra hours each week to make up the time in the hope we could complete our course before March 31st. We were told no. We were advised our funding forms hadn’t been submitted. And they had done this with our best interests at heart. The two members of staff took our contact details and offered to help find alternative courses for us. Made us write down what days we could train and how far we could travel. Said they would contact us in Jan with options and info.We were totally misled and lied to. It transpired that they had an appalling ofsted report in November (we found this online and read it) and they had their funding withdrawn. No one has contacted us to help us as they advised.Instead they wasted six weeks of our time and manipulated us and lied to us. Thankfully, Another Manchester training academy has stepped in to help us and set up a course just for us so the whole group can transfer over.Disgusting company. I wouldn’t trust them with my training and would absolutely not recommend investing any of your money into one of their courses.
