Derby Hearing Centre - Same day appointments

SO impressed with this service and Rab was really friendly. Emailed Rab on Thursday (as I was unable to call during the day) to book an appointment for Saturday and he was super quick at replying and really helpful. Rab came to my house and was great. My ears were quite bad but the whole procedure only took about 10-15 minutes and was completely painless. 100% would recommend and use again. Thank you so much! I can finally hear properly again!!

I made a last minute appointment and seen the same day as one of my ears was blocked, and wow what a result I can hear again.The problem ear was sorted in minutes ,after he looked at my other ear, I told him that’s not necessary as spec savers told me couple of weeks ago the wax in this ear was normal.However that was not the case to my surprise it was also very blocked, once this was cleared within minutes my hearing was amazing.So happy with my service, I would highly recommend.Fast friendly service with great results !

I have had tinnitus permanently in my left ear since I had their 'microsuction' done. I whole heartedly recommend you do not do this. I'm 38 and this was 2/3 years ago. I dont know what went wrong, but I am now stuck with this ringing in my left ear for life.Definitely not worth it to have some wax removed. The man who came round told me it is safer than what they used to do at doctors with the water.... Well you are obviously wrong because I had that done multiple times before they stopped doing this on the NHS...i only had mircrosuction because they stopped this and I wouldn't go near it again.I'd like to read response from the owner to this review.And I am more than happy to verify and follow up with them as I am 100% telling the truth. Tinnitus started the moment this treatment stopped and 3 years later it hasn't gone away.Edit:following the owners response. I can accept I may be the unlucky 1, as I found you to be genuine, still I think people should not consider this to be 100% infallible. The ear where I got tinnitus, there was difficulty removing wax and it took longer, I also have narrow ear canals so I'm told. It's possible all wax was not removed, and this is why I have tinnitus there, or that they had somehow been damaged before... But I don't think they had been damaged before to this extent, as although I'm a music fan of many years.... I got tinnitus in this one ear following the procedure

I had my ears cleaned today, Rab was very friendly and conscious of covid safe procedures.My hearing genuinely feels three times better and I would recommend this service to anyone, worth every penny.Thank you to Rab and to Derby Hearing Centre, I couldn't be happier.

Booked appointment same day, came and did the work efficiently and quickly. Well priced and professional. If you call and no one picks up, try their email address, they are very good at replying. If their website doesn't open on Chrome (which it doesn't for me), try Microsoft Edge.

I suffered from loss of hearing for around 3 months due to build up in both ears. It began with near complete loss in the right ear and only recently in the left. It got to a point where I could hardly hear out of either ear and it began waking me up all through the night in a panic that I might lose my hearing. After a phone call to the doctors, who told me I would have to wait two weeks for an appointment to get them cleaned, I decided to go to Derby Hearing Centre for the microsuction treatment.It was the best decision I've made in relation to ears which I have had consistent problems with in the past. The staff were friendly and helpful. The audiologist who I was with gave great advice and was calm all through the procedure, which I really needed. He did such a good job to the extent that I was almost overwhelmed when I stepped out the centre and became bombarded with sounds.As a student anything priced above £20 is always dear. However this was WELL worth the money and it's definitely a place I would recommend.I can't thank you enough.

Not very impressed. The test was done by someone who professed to be very experienced, but thinking about the number if jobs she had within a few years left me with doubts as to why she had moved around so much. Test wasn't explained very well and was done with very noisy roadworks outside. I have since had a test elsewhere and the results were completely different.

I have been suffering from an acute loss of hearing for about two weeks. In general I could only hear white noise; people were having to shout for me to understand. My GP practice no longer seem keen on ‘syringing’, and having been inserting olive oil drops for a while my hearing seemed to be getting worse not better. As a last resort turned to Google, found Derby Hearing Centre on Osmaston Rd, The Spot, opposite Intu Shopping Centre; I was able to make an appointment for the same day. The service was professional, painless, and had a very successful outcome. I am so pleased with the return of normal hearing and would highly recommend this service, it was worth every penny. I would not hesitate to go again. Thank you.
