Ate at the Wheatsheaf last night. Service was excellent, food was delicious, I had fish and chips which was lovely. Atmosphere was great, drinks dealt with immediately. Can’t fault it, plus it was warm and cosy.

Very nice friendly pub and great staff members. The lovely waitress who served us on Monday night was very friendly and made sure that all our needs were met. We will 100% return again in the future. Great ribeye steaks too, top notch.

We had a lovely evening when we dined out for a birthday meal. The food was excellent as were the drinks which are reasonably priced. The service from the staff was outstanding in particular Sam and Amy who made sure all our needs were catered for, they are both lovely and polite members of staff. Highly recommended with excellent service and professional but friendly staff.

We visited the Wheatsheaf Burton Joyce on Thursday 09/11/2023 for dinner. We had a table for four people. We all had different meals & they were lovely. The service was excellent from the whole team but especially both ladies called Mia. They were so attentive and couldn’t do enough for us. We are all local to the pub and we have not visited for a very long time due to being disappointed with our visits. I must say yesterday evening has definitely changed our opinion and we shall all be returning soon. Thank you for making our visit extremely pleasant.

Went here for lunch the other day. There were no staff present for the first five minutes we were there so we went and sat down at a table. When staff came out we were told that if we wanted food we should have waited at the front, although the gentleman admitted that he didn't have a sign saying this. Ordered two burgers, they were tasty although the burger itself could have done with more seasoning. Portion sizes for the price were not too bad. Would visit again but perhaps in the evening when there was a bit more atmosphere and more staff around.

Came in for lunch and really enjoyed the food. We had the seafood grill and wild boar bangers and mash off the specials, thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. We were hosted by Sam who was patient with us and made sure we had everything we needed. We will be returning soon

Nice pub with very friendly and helpful staff. Menu has some nice variety to choose from and a decent cuppa too. Very dog friendly, with free dog blanket which was nice for our old hound.

I had a really fantastic meal at The Wheatsheaf yesterday, November 1, with a friend of mine. We had the steak ciabatta which was delicious and the service, by Zoë, was outstanding. Such fun to be served by her who made us feel so welcome. I would highly recommend and will be back again for sure.

Booked The Wheatsheaf for a meal last Saturday arrived almost 40 minutes late due to the horrendous traffic coming out of Nottingham . We were welcomed at the door by Mai who was absolutely first class . Food Delicious, great atmosphere will definitely visit again

I visited here last Saturday with my mates, very nice atmosphere and I would like to give a special mention to Sam and Amy who were both very professional during our meal; I ordered a steak and ale pie and it was lovely. Will definitely be coming back again when we are in the area
