We had enjoyed a lovely walk in the Mapledurham area and asked Could we come in for lunch?. We received a very warm welcome, as non members. The lunch menu was imaginative and enticing. Nine of us thoroughly enjoyed the tasty food, with excellent service. I had wild mushrooms on sourdough, with a friend egg, rocket and parmesan - delicious. We will be back and will highly recommend you. Many thanks,

Superb club and course. Every aspect of this club has impressed me whenever I've had the chance to visit. A warm welcome, good food, decent facilities and excellent golf is my experience here. The course is a real challenge for every golfer where good shots are rewarded and poor shots are punished. Some of the holes are visually stunning as well which just adds to the appeal. I have played a few times and the course is always in great condition in my experience. This is one of the few courses that I have played where I would be extremely happy to be a member. My recommendation is to pay it a visit as soon as is possible...

Great course in lovely condition and a good test of your golfing skills with some testing holes that require good ball positioning and length off the Tee. Greens are currently a bit shaggy (April) but very even but that is down to keeping them slightly long coming out of the winter season. The staff are friendly and helpful and the club has excellent facilities. A pleasure to play and I will be back.

Four star at the moment, but a strong 5 star in prospect when improvement works complete and bed downCourse just been redeveloped (reopened April 2021) has a good layout with lots of challenging and interesting holes (bunkers, hazards, doglegs) When we played it course was fast which is the intention given it characterizes itself as an inland links. Greens have a variety of slopes on them which adds to the links style feel.Oh nearly forgot the views - good vistas over the countryside of the Thames ValleyMake sure you update your GPS devices before play otherwise you will be like us, playing old style golf with limited distance informationWe will be coming back to play again.

Lovely staff and great, challenging course. I play of 13 and usually shoot low 80’s, a bit higher this time. Layout is pretty long, but if you hit fairways the slope will help you out. Fairways and greens in great condition for March and almost no muddy areas despite the heavy rain the last days. Also very impressed by the bunkers. They are very well placed to make it challenging, but their condition is amazing so if you know how to play bunkers, it’s fairly easy to get out. Honestly haven’t played any bunkers like this in the uk so far and most of the times I drop out of most bunkers to not ruin my wedges. Only downside was the range wasn‘t close to the clubhouse, but we were offered a Buggy to go there. To round it all up, the wild life around the course was great and we had a very nice day. Thanks

Certainly is a real Gem! An excellent course.Berkshire is home to some fine courses and this is a stand out course for me. The condition was fantastic, the greens were imaculate and true. With the recent hot weather the fairways gave so much roll given the firmness and quality of them. I played on a perfect day but could image when the wind is up that it would be a much more challenging course. I was followed through the front nine by two red kites that circled over head, the peace and quiet of the course was brilliant adding to the enjoyment of the day. A real joy and definitely worth a drive out for anyone within an hour or so.

Lots of work being done, but so much potential to become a world class course. Long old course, but reasonably forgiving off the tee.
