Beautiful place, I used to come here as a kid and it was always lovely but all the changes that have been made have made it such relaxing and peaceful walk! Gorgeous!

Great location just between lobley hill, Sunniside and Whickham. Variety of walks, some flat, some through woods and uphill. Large lake and waterfall.A nice quiet place to escape the hussle and bussle!

Interesting oasis of walks through wooded paths and past an attractive lake and yet, so close to urban Gateshead. After walking a short distance from the large free car park, it felt like a different world. Lots of paths which, mercifully when we were there, were remarkably free from litter. Delightful afternoon on the warmest March day for many years and I look forward to my next visit.

1st time here today, didn't realise there was such an hidden gem just a short drive away. Absolutely gorgeous walk, scenery and an abundance of wildlife. Will definitely be visiting again.
