Don’t use them. The last plumber who came to my house had no idea what he was doing and just bodged it. It’s only weeks later that I’ve now got problems. I will never ever use them again.

We have used Wildings over many years and have always found them to provide excellent service from the lovely people who book the appointments to the polite and helpful engineers who undertake the work. Paul has helped us out this morning with a problem with our heating and we only phoned yesterday, first class service from start to finish.

We recently had a new boiler installed by your employer Mr P Harris and we were so impressed with his politeness, his workmanship and his competence in fitting a new boiler we had to write. I have been a customer of Wilding’s for many years and they have serviced my boiler to my satisfaction.Recently though, I had a problem with said boiler and the engineer came and quickly found that the problem was a failed gasket. He did not have one on his van but said he would get one - fantastic. He came back a few days later fitted the gasket which took all of 10 minutes.The part cost £12 plus vat.I received an invoice for £142 !! I was told the cost was to cover the two calls to my house. So note that Wilding engineers are good - but very very expensive .

Our boiler stopped working and that required an out-of-hours visit to rectify the problem. The engineer (Mark, who was brilliant) arrived promptly and returned with the part to complete the repair the following morning. Outstanding service.

Have used Wildings to service our heating system for some years and generally been happy with them. But we've had increasing, intermittent problems with our heating system over the last few weeks, and we've now got to the point where we only have heating for about 1 hour a day. Wildings have known about this for a week but still haven't sent anyone out despite promising to do so. The story from their receptionist this morning was that she needed to talk to the technical director. Why?? Awful. Will not be using them again.

I recently needed some work doing and thought i would get them to quote for the work they quoted me double what it ended up costing me to have done. I rang them at the time to ask what was going on with there price and they said they would reduce it by about thirty pounds. stay away, use small firms that do good work and care about their customers.

I called JT Wilding after accidentally drilling through a pipe the previous evening. They managed to send an engineer that morning to fix the pipe (in a very awkward position). Friendly plumber and reasonable price that got me out of a pickle.
