My son and I enjoyed greatly - Frank seems a reasonable fella, he was very helpful and he’s just keen on making sure this stays a quiet campsite for walkers and families to enjoy. Facilities are basic but clean, well looked-after and functional. Looks like there’ll be more added soon in the way of bunk barns etc. Great spot

After reading reviews I was weary but then because of the location and availability I told myself and my children that we got to see and experience to understand or believe.I am glad we did because it was the best experience ever.We happened to arrive first and gotta choose our camping spot which we choose a place where we could face Isle of Man which my children were so happy about as their father happen to live in Isle of Man.The facility was not too bad at all for a place a little further from the main town, not too far but I was amazed of the facility compared to other reviews. The man isn’t horrible as others make you believe on reviews he was just protective of the lands from fire which most campsite are and the noise level which I completely understand. If you a family that want a peaceful camping, with a amazing experience like bouldering, hiking, swimming, kayaking, cycling, stars gazing, dog owners and many more… like mine so well it’s the place for you. Please to not judge the place because of someone’s experience.I hope you enjoy your camping adventure like we did, few photos for you guys to see for yourself and staying boosted my chance to make the summit of Slieve Donnard with 3 children aged 8,6 and 3 successfully.

Only downside is that car parking is limited. At busy times you need to be there very early or you won't get access.

Beautiful secluded location with great views. Friendly owner. Lots of good spots to camp. Only 4 stars as facilities are very basic and in need of cleaning and repairing. Would still highly recommend for campers who don't mind this. Other things to know: you'll share the field with some friendly sheep and the drive up the hill is steep and rocky (not suitable for very low cars).

Stayed here last week with my husband and 2 kids. Lovely campsite. Frank is very fair as regards noise he is upfront and honest and explains the no noise rules after midnight rules by email wen you book. He is a very nice friendly man. Its on his farm and its really lovely. Brilliant location for exploring Mt's of Mourne

I stayed with a couple of friends for the weekend and we all enjoyed our stay, there was a great view over the sea and a easy access to hike paths a as-well as a beautiful river. The owners were very welcoming and nice throughout our stay. The place was kept clean and had a good bathroom and overall was an amazing place at a great price.
