Food absolutely fantastic, staff lovely.Edit: food now average pub fare at above average prices. Menu and specials very limited. Staff still lovely.

Hadn’t been in here for a while as had some bad experiences after it was taken over but we had a delicious meal, staff attentive, food hot and served quickly. Would come again

Don't be put off by the exterior of this gem. It may look tired on the outside and a bit dated on the inside but the food and service was top notch. The toffee cheesecake was probably the best cheesecake I've ever had. We're here on holiday but hoping to find time to call in again for a decent meal before we go home. Lovely, friendly staff. Would highly recommend this family friendly restaurant.

Just got back from a lovely father's day meal. We had the carvery it was absolutely beautiful . The staff were extremely helpful and friendly and service was excellent. Would highly recommend this place .

New owners apparently since last year and glad to see they still have good menus plus a specials board. We visited late evening on a Monday night and pub was rather quiet but found staff very welcoming. Had a couple of good main meals selected from the comprehensive menu. The specials board was very enticing, especially the duck breast. We did also have a dessert, both having the sticky toffee pudding, a generous portion.

Don’t judge a book by its cover!We had the Sunday carvery it was very nice, could not fault it! Food was as tasty and hot. Young staff members very polite and accommodating. Nothing too much trouble. Easy to book online. Don’t be put off by the outside. Really nice restaurant and staff, very welcoming. Would recommend!
