Paid and booked for 4 new tyres online. They used force to get wheel bolts off as apparently too tight. After breaking one they didnt ring me to inform me, they decided to try another and this too snapped off. Rang me to say broken and now I need new Wheel hub, they would not accept liability. They didn't use oil or heat to loosen the bolts just force(Other mechanics have told me If they had done this it would have loosened, using force alone would break it) . They laughed at me when told them they broke it. One suggestion was I sign a waiver and drive to another garage I could not believe they suggested I drive an unsafe car. Asked speak to manager Alan he agreed not to drive he would order part and ring me. He rang Saturday quoted £560 but to help out would charge me £160. As I was going away next day said I would pick up on return. Friday arrived and car was not ready part had not even arrived as manager on hoilday noone had checked They have ordere the part now and it was on its way, got rung at 4pm to say ready. I arrived at 4.30 and told now problem with ABs and need another part 1hr later told could not fix today. Long story short got my car back Sunday they waiveredsome costs but was still charged £272 for breakage they did to my car.I paid under protest as needed my car for my Job . i was told by manager was supplier' fault the part had not arrived . Again the garage not taking responsibility for their errors. Emailed customer services my complaint on sunday and asked for investigation into all my complaints and a report and would like them to recompensate me for costs. Recieved automated reply that I would hear from them within 48 hrs now 3 days later still no correspondence from customer services. Very poor service for national company. Very disappointed alot of stress caused for such a simple Job. National companies have liability insurance and should comply with customers trading standards act 2013 but seem to ignore complaints . No where on site can I take this further going to speak to CAB for advise on how I can pursue my complaint to be reimbursed

Great service , had a free MOT for being a Halfords car premium member ( 4.99 ) a month, expected them to fail it on several issues due to being a free MOT , in fact I was told it was a bonus I was a premium member as it meant they didn't have to do all the paperwork etc , I was told to come back to find out resultin 1 hour which was perfect as they are in middle of shopping centre and I happen to love shopping. Anyhow I was emailed in less than an hour to collect car , got there the guy behind counter joked it had failed then said it had intact passed with few minor faults. So honest and speedy and will definately return for tyres and services ,mot when I need them and would highly recommend to my freinds and family and anyone reading this. Great customer service , and very professional,clean and prompt service. Thanks

Arrived on time after having to pay an extra £5 for a timed appointment to be told. No staff !!!Could take longer than normal.

Recently brought a new car and decided to have all 4 tyres done. Looked for the best deal online and found these fitters at the end of my street.Booked my appointment on line for 12:30 so dropped my car in at 1215. The man on the desk (didn’t catch his name sorry) was on his own doing doing the fittings and also dealing with the office so explained he was running a bit behind which was fine.I popped back later in the day and could see he was still busy but my car was on the lift. I went back about an hour later and it was ready. He was so apologetic (which he didn’t need to be as he’d already explained the situation).Great service from him and I’m sure if he had a full team on it wouldn’t have taken so long but he did his best which is all anyone can ask.

Had to take my care else where after Alan couldn't sort the alignment even after 2 Attempts. steering wheel was set at 45 degrees!!! Horrible attitude but even worse than that is the guys that sorted his mess out said the left hand side way FINGER TIGHT!! this car has a kids seat and you thought that finger tight would be okay. I will be reporting this issue to trading standards.It doesn't bare thinking about the damage this could have cause you should be ashamed.rather than asking me to email you why not except some responsibility or even better apologize

Booked wheel alinement online and paid, drove to them to get it done. They informed me that my car is too wide (Mitsubishi L200) and they only have standard ramps.Surely one of the biggest automotive chains can cater for larger cars/trucks/vans

Can fault this garage. Had an MOT there for first time today and they were excellent. hubby was cross thinking Halfords would be expensive and find loads of problems but it was very reasonably priced and the failed issues were fixed the same day. Amazing service will definitely be using again.
