This is the second time we have booked with Mark Bratt Travel (MBT) following a brilliant trip to South Africa. We had such an amazing time, we completely trusted MBT to organise our next holiday…a trip to see the ancient ruins of Egypt.When we approached MBT about Egypt, they were totally honest and said that they hadn’t sent anyone to these parts of Egypt before (Luxor, Aswan, Abu Simbel & Cairo) but were keen to do so. We had done plenty of research about the ancient sites and how best to see them so sent the team an interesting itinerary which was being offered by a larger corporate company and asked them to try and piece together something similar, with a more bespoke slant. After a few consultations, we had decided on the perfect holiday and booked it! A week before we were due to fly, we met with Scott who went through our itinerary step by step to ensure we felt as comfortable as possible. This is another great feature of MBT.A few highlights of using MBT for this trip:- Great choice of local travel agent, including the guides. MBT found the perfect guides for us through a great agency in Egypt. We had two guides throughout the trip and both were incredibly knowledgable and local to the area. In addition to this, they were warm, engaging and lovely people. This really made the trip an unforgettable experience for us.- Itinerary - we spoke to quite a few groups throughout our time in Egypt and none had an itinerary quite like ours. The work done by Scott and the team to select the right flights for arrivals and departures meant we really maximised our time in Egypt and could see some ancient ruins that weren’t usually included in the package tours (I.e. Abu Simbel, Valley of the Queens), whilst still having enough free time to relax. The order of our events planned by MBT was also perfect as it didn’t clash with the larger group tours that also visit these parts of Egypt. We found our itinerary meant we could visit the main attractions at times when other groups were travelling to other sites or changing locations.- Mobile app - this is a great addition to the MBT package. It contains all the information you need for your trip (tickets, dates, times, contacts, communication with the MBT team)- Location and choice of hotels - MBT really listen to the “brief” provided by clients. This means they really understand what is important to their clients and work hard to match up their preferences to options available, that were always in line with budgetary constraints. For our Egypt trip, Scott got this spot on and our hotels were beautiful and in great locations for us to explore local areas and have convenient transfers.We had a couple of hiccups with some practical aspects of the trip (miscommunications with hotels and Nile cruise company) but MBT (Scott especially) was quick to respond and worked his magic to sort out the issues so it didn’t impact our holiday.However, even with these minor hiccups, the trip was a total success and is an experience we will never forget. We have yet to find an independent travel agent who is able to match, never mind go above, what MBT can offer. I’d highly recommend MBT and we will use them again for our next big trip.

Scott sent us a few ideas and all we had to do was pick our favourite - from that, everything was organised for us and the whole process was stress free and easy, we didnt have to think about anything. Scott created a wonderful trip to Cuba for us in March 2023. He took the hassle out of putting together the itinerary, asking us about our interests and priorities to make sure the trip was tailored to us. The app where your itinerary is saved is very useful, and it's also a means of communicating with Scott while you're away. The local guides that we were paired with in Cuba were all excellent; friendly and informative. The excursions that were planned for us were brilliant, from city walking tours, to a classic car ride around Havana to a gentle trek into a national park complete with a swim in a natural pond. We loved Cuba and the whole trip was made hassle-free thanks to Mark Bratt Travel.

We had an amazing holiday at Dusit Thani in the Maldives organised by Scott from Mark Bratt Travel.It isn't often that the reality of a destination is better than the photos in the brochure and we found Dusit Thani exceeded our expectations at every turn.The thing that really helped were the suggestions and experience from Scott in advising us how to get the most out of the holiday (such as splitting our time between a beach villa and an ocean villa) which we wouldn't have thought of ourselves and really added to the experience.The deluxe beach villa was superb and such a different experience to the ocean villas that had drawn us to the Maldives.Since Scott took the time to get to know us he found a destination that worked for us as a couple with aspects we both uniquely enjoyed from cycling to the spa.All contributed to making a very relaxing holiday and we would definitely use Mark Bratt in future.Thanks for such a great experience.

We used mark bratt travel for our holiday to brazil and it was amazing from start to finish. Mark dealt with all of our flights, excursions, transfers and hotels so we did not have to and everything worked out on time and exactly what we were looking for! All the tour guides were phenomenal and the communication with mark was perfect. We wont be using anybody else for our future trips away!!

After 4 attempts of trying to go to the Maldives, they made it happen for us and it was so worth the wait, the island we stayed on was amazing - pure luxury and incredibly relaxing! Both villas we stayed in were gorgeous and the little extras they arranged made the whole trip extra special.Even with the madness of the pandemic and international rules, we didn’t have to worry about anything, Scott made sure we had all the info we needed and knew what do when, we won’t hesitate to book our next holiday with Mark Bratt Travel again, they helped make our honeymoon an unforgettable holiday!

Absolutely perfect from start to finish. Scott, our travel consultant was really thorough in his understanding of what we wanted and his consultative approach and wide knowledge were hugely appreciated given we were considering areas of the world we had never visited.We were celebrating a special occasion and it was tricky for us to manage the fact that we wanted our first proper luxury holiday, but on a tight-ish budget. Thanks to all the team at Mark Bratt. I booked my trip to Sri Lanka last minute. I had the most sensational time! Absolutely unreal and really no words to describe how magical it was.
