Colombo Kitchen - Hopper & Kottu Bar
Friendly staff, the food, however, was ok, not bad, but I was expecting a bit more authentic touch.the food is nice and fresh, but it's quite adapted to the English pallet. I'm aware that I'm quite spoiled as I have lived in Sri Lanka for more than 3 years. Costs for a meal are more central London oriented and the potions aren't that big.

I recently had the pleasure of dining at Colombo Kitchen with my family and I must say, it was an unforgettable experience. From the moment we stepped in, the ambiance of the restaurant was warm and inviting. We were greeted by the friendly staff who made us feel right at home. The food was simply amazing! Every dish we ordered was bursting with flavor and cooked to perfection. We started with the mutton kothu, mutton curry, fresh crab rice, prawn curry, fried calamari each dish was unique and packed with a variety of spices that tantalized our tasteThe staff was brilliant and provided exceptional service throughout our meal. They were attentive, knowledgeable, and always had a smile on their faces. We truly felt like we were being taken care of.Overall, I highly recommend Colombo Kitchen to anyone looking for a truly authentic dining experience. The food, staff, and ambiance all exceeded our expectations and we can't wait to visit again!

This is a great place to have some traditional Sri Lankan food. I really loved the milk hoppers and traditional Kothu Roti. The customer service was fantastic. We celebrated our mums birthday and the staff were very accommodating.

The food was tasty / delicious especially the Devilled Mutton + the hoppers were nice and crisp. The hoppers, despite being authentic, are however way too crispy - it needs to be slightly more thicker. For £2.75/hopper, this is massively overpriced given how crisp and light it is.We were also disappointed by:- the long waiting time (took 35mins for starters - okra fries and jackfruit rolls should definitely not take that long). It was frustrating to see that we had to wait so long for the food while there were endless number of delivery drivers coming in and out to pick up takeaway orders. The restaurant needs to prioritise in-dining customers and limit orders on delivery apps when the restaurant is at capacity.- portion sizes were quite small for the price being charged across the menu.I was torn between giving this 3 or 4 stars, but giving 4 stars as the quality and taste of the food overall was good.

I have been to Colombo Kitchen atleast 4-5 times now as me and my family are regular returners. Best Sri Lankan restaurant i have been to, every item is absolutely 10/10! Exactly like traditional home cooked Sri Lankan food. I especially recommend the crab curry - absolutely delicious and one of my favourites.

A truly enjoyable meal. The decor, service, food, and atmosphere were wonderful. The waiter patiently explained unfamiliar items on the menu and gave suggestions to help build our meal. We were given options on levels of spiciness (heat) in our dishes; we opted for the 'authentic' level which was very spicy and had us sweating but everything was delicious. Food was not at all oily, packed full of flavour but balanced and not overwhelming. There is a good choice of vegetarian options. The jackfruit curry was very good.We also had the chicken curry, hoppers, potato and spinach, roti, paratha, and saffron rice. On reflection we probably ordered too many carbs and I would have omitted the roti. Finished with the honey pineapple and ice cream which was so lovely.Definitely coming back again soon to try more of the menu. The kottu looks fantastic.

The atmosphere is best. Tried lamprice, polrotti, hoppers, Kottu and some drinks. In term of taste, 3.5/5 because not original taste of Sri lanka. If you have moved from SL recently then this can’t be your place. Price is okay. Portions are but small for the price. You can try this restaurant for the ambiance.

If you want to taste the best and authentic Sri Lankan food in London you must visit Colombo Kitchen. You would never feel that you’re away from your mom’s Sri Lankan food if you have ever tasted from Colombo Kitchen. I have had the chance to taste all the foods from this beautiful restaurant. From all these my favorite items are hoppers and lamprais. But you wouldn’t disappoint any of the food items from Colombo Kitchen. From rice, lentils, cashew, aubergine moju, jackfruit to king prawns, crabs, chicken, mutton, pork or even kottu! The best thing is you can adjust the spicy level according to your tastebuds . And their signature cocktails were superb and why not the desserts. Oreo hoppers , jagary hoppers, watalappam, chocolate biscuit pudding and even the fresh fruit salad are amazing!!! Also the staff is very friendly and professional and they even help you to findthe best meal! They take time to explain you about the meal! Don’t wait! I would absolutely 100% recommend this place and blame me if you feel disappointed. Cuz you will NEVER !

Great spot for a late lunch or dinner. We got the lychee rose, and chilli ginger mojito to drink - both were amazing and so unique in their flavours. The paneer tacos to start were so delicious, and the chicken lamprais and briyani held up to their great reviews. Very filling but perfect portion sizes, the only thing we weren't a fan of was the boiled then fried egg. The bill came to about £75 which was steeper than we had anticipated, also - the optional gratuity was automatically included in the overall price which was misleading, but besides that everything was great. We'd definitely be back to visit and try more off the menu.

This is a fantastic restaurant. I had a delicious meal and I highly recommend it. The staff are friendly and very professional. Our waiter suggested the jack fruit curry, which was absolutely delicious. Everything is freshly cooked and very flavoursome. The restaurant is clean and the staff care about their service and take pride in the quality of their food. Give it a go.
