Highly recommended! Steve's approach to teaching kids is second to none. Our little girl first attended jiu jitsu classes when she was 4. She was shy and wouldn't join for the first few sessions nor she would join if there were no other girls... almost 2 years have passed and the shy little girl is long gone... most of the time she is the only girl amongs the boys, trying so hard to be the best. She is way more disciplined. She is very clever and she uses this strength in his jitsu too which helps a lot. We can see the results of Steve's teaching techniques and we must admit that kids become much more confident, hungry for success and learn so much through play... cannot recommend enough!

I began jujitsu because I wanted to boost my confidence and learn a new skill. I am nearly 40, overweight, not fit in anyway and had never tried a martial art before.What I found was an amazing coach, the best bunch of people to train with and just a whole heap of kindness.In the beginners class it didn’t matter that I knew nothing because everyone was in the same boat. Now I attend the intermediate class and I learn new things everyday (even if I can’t retain them!)The thing that surprised me the most about jujitsu was the positive effect on the rest of my life especially work.If you are thinking of giving jujitsu a go and you want a friendly place with skilled coaches then this is the place for you.

I've been. attending classes at Icon for roughly 18 months. I started off on the tailored beginners program which gave me a good understanding of the fundamentals of BJJ. Steve and his coaches were always patient and took the time to break down the moves when I didn't quite understand them.I have recently moved up to intermediate level and all the higher belts and fellow white belts have been happy to help when I've asked for guidance. This is a friendly welcoming club where egos are left behind and we are all there to better ourselves and each other. I highly recommend Icon BJJ Norwich as a club and Steve as a coach.

The best place for Martial Arts training in Norfolk with competent coaches with first hand experience. Very friendly and supportive even if, like me, you're a bit shy or quiet. You won't find better Jiu-Jitsu anywhere else in East Anglia

Excellent place - would highly recommend to anyone looking to learn BJJ. I started as a beginner and found the structure really useful and easy to follow. The coaches and other members are all very friendly and always happy to help.I have recently moved up to the intermediate classes and am enjoying the time spent on the mats. Steve is friendly and welcoming - I would encourage anyone interested to give it a go with Icon Ju Jitsu Team.

Since joining Icon back in 2020 Iv found nothing but amazing experiences and utter respect for my team mates and my head coach Steve. For having the patience’s and guidance to help myself and rest team grow as a tribe. Since joining Iv started to progress more in my BJJ experience by taking on new challenges and new targets i aim to look forward to. I’m in this for the long run and I recommend anyone who struggles with self confidence, fitness or mental health then reach out and speak anyone one of us by giving it a go. My 10 yr old attended the kids classes for 5/6 months. The coaches were really friendly and the atmosphere is very positive but it is very expensive and the child physiologically element is all fur coat. Overall not bad.

Such a great club, the coaches are friendly and most importantly patient, the members are more than happy to help you progress with whatever questions you have. A very diverse set of people of all ages , from every walk of life who are all there to better themselves with like minded people. If you’re reading these reviews then take the next step and pop into see Steve, your only regret will be not doing it sooner.

What a great place, I wish I joined sooner! Coach Steve and the team are always very welcoming, friendly, very knowledgeable and teach with passion and pride. Since joining Icon, I've learned so much more about myself and Brazilian Jiu-jitsu, growing bored of going to the regular gym, learning a never ending set of new skills combined with fitness is exactly what I wanted and l look forward to a long future with Icon. Been a member for a year and a half or so now and it’s been brilliant. On top of being extremely knowledgeable Steve is a fantastic teacher. Couldn’t recommend enough. If you want BJJ in Norwich, Icon is the place to be!
