GOOD NEWS for Everyone!

Good News for Everyone Are probably the most unsung Christian missions in the UK. They barely advertise but you see their work when you go to a hotel and stay the night. Because in the bedroom drawer will be a copy of the Bible. And that is there for your use. Many people come to stay in hotels and they may feel down, or that they need some solace at a time of need. You will have seen their work when you had been at school and someone came to speak about the work that they do, and leave you a red New Testament. Many have kept the New Testament and when they have felt a need to read it, then they do and they receive solace and strength. When you had been in a hospital, you may have seen a Testament at the bedside cabinet and that is there for your use. Many have found faith in the Lord Jesus Christ via that Testament being left. Letting Gods holy word do its own work in bring you to faith

I became a Christian as a result of being given a little red New Testament at 12. I still have it over 30 years later. This is a wonderful ministry and long may it continue.

Many people believe that a choice between heaven and hell has to be earned. Will God reject me when the time comes? Do the scales tip in my favour? The good news for everyone is that our salvation, our first class ticket to God's heaven, has been bought for us already by God's Son. We can't earn it, but Jesus Christ already has through his sacrificial death.The men and women of 'Good News for Everyone' will guide you towards receiving Jesus Christ as your own. Get in touch!

If you, like me are keen to share your faith and feel that after having that all important conversation, want to leave the person you've witnessed to with something that will continue to speak to them and really help them on life's journey, then this organisation is vital for you. You can join a local group where together we support one another in witnessing and giving out Bibles and New Testaments wherever we can and whenever we can.The scriptures we offer have a comprehensive guide to where to find help for whatever need a person may have and so much more, including how the Bible was written and why it is so trustworthy, prayers for different occasions, Bible reading guide and instructions on how to accept the Lord Jesus as your personal Lord and Saviour. Groups consist of people from many different church backgrounds and walks of life, but all with the one aim of telling people about Jesus' love. Some people place Bibles in hospitals, others in prisons, care homes, schools and waiting rooms, and many other different places. Some distribute in town centres and there's even opportunity to join a group going abroad to share the Word.So if you have that same desire, why not come and join us?

I first received a Gideons Bible when at school on the 1970s. Although at the time I wasn't a Christian, looking back,accepting the small book clearly set in train a gradual change culminating in me becoming s Christian a few years later. About 10 years ago a friend asked if I would like to join the organisation. Although I was fairly busy I was somehow I was drawn to the idea and have not regretted the decision. I wouldn't consider myself to be an out going evangelist, far from it, but I feel in some small way I am playing my part in something good and right.

Excellent Bible Society, formerly known as The Gideons UKWe give out free Bibles in the highways and byways of Life.

Good News For Everyone (formerly GideonsUK) are a wonderful Christian ministry. I have been aware of Gideons since approx 1980 - when I was presented with a school Gideons New Testament. They bring the Word of God to people in schools, hotels, hospitals, prisons, care homes and many other places.

This voluntary NGO distributes copies of the Bible and magazines with Bible texts. I have personally met many people whose lives have radically improved through the reading of these texts. A friend recently called to tell me that her husband had received a Bible portion from me when he did building work on our house and how later on with the help of his boss how he understood the meaning of the life and death of Jesus for his personal transformation.
