Our experience was fantastic. The team were swift to respond and very friendly and professional. Our surveyor allowed us to attend the survey (I would highly recommend this) and helped with lots of comments and suggestions which do not come up in the more official survey document. A great company to work with.

AVOID! AVOID! AVOID! Their advice cost us dearly.We should have taken note of other people's experiences of this dreadful company and waited a few more weeks for our previous surveyor firm to become available (unfortunately they were booked up, unlike this firm).Appalling 'RICS' Building Survey carried out, missed key issues, provided shoddy, reckless repair advice (confirmed by 2 reputable building firms) and their omnipotent attitude was a disgrace.Without doubt, the worst surveyors we have ever encountered.They make a shambles of RICS guidelines in our opinion.You've been warned. Proceed with caution.No doubt they'll respond below with a very pleasant reply to make themselves feel better. Because in their eyes, they never make mistakes, or accept responsibility. Appointing Chawton Hill has cost me big time.Customer service is non-existent, survey is a worthless and missed key issues that will cost me 10' of thousands to repair.Do yourself a favour and avoid at all costs.Edit: Company has responded saying they have no recollection of working for me. My username on Google is not my full name. I have indeed written an accurate review of the correct business.

Chawton Hill were great! They provided a prompt and well communicated service. From start to finish we have had an amazing experience. Our surveyor was very thorough on the day and was willing for us to contact him if we needed to ask him any further questions afterwards. I would definitely recommend using them.

We were looking to purchase an old house, so wanted a full (Level 3) survey done. I googled a few options and chose Chawton Hill as a) they were local-ish, b) they offered a 'meeting' with the surveyor on site, which I thought was brilliant - much easier than reading a long report!We are so happy we chose Chawton Hill - Mark, our surveyor was brilliant. He was generous with his time and it was so reassuring to be able to look at the property together and benefit from his expertise. The meeting meant we were confident to proceed with the purchase, ahead of receiving the detailed report.We are now in our new home. Mark gave us the peace of mind and confidence to go ahead. Thanks all to the team in the back office who responded to the quote, booked the appointment and then invoiced (after the survey was done, which was another benefit - nothing upfront).Highly recommend and would definitely use again (not that we plan to move anytime soon!)

Chawton Hill are a very professional practice that take the stress out of property surveys. The team work quickly, and when on site provide excellent detail about the overall condition. The report is comprehensive and provides a picture of the property condition.

Survey done in June 2023. Met with Mark Onsite for walkthrough on the day, which was invaluable to understand the issues with property. Mark knew his stuff and had time for us to ask questions. Happy with service provided. Felt I paid for knowledge which is of benefit rather than expert document formatting which is not.
