Whalebridge Multi Storey Car Park
It's a multi story carpark in Swindon Town centre. Location is quite convenient and prices inline with other local carparks. It is often a bit grubby and the stairwells like those of most multistories across the country have obviously been used as a urinal. The level numbers are not clearly labelled from the stairs.

If you need the receipt for reimbursement, don't bother with this car park. This is about the 4th or 5th week in a row when I did not get a receipt for the whole day parking, and because of that the company that I work for can't give me the money for it.Even on the ticket, nothing is printed.Help button is useless, since they are on the other side of Swindon, can't get the machine to print, and by the time I finish working here, there is nobody that they could send out to give any form of help that is not useless.

Often there is only one sometimes two pay machines not working leading to queues to pay. The lifts to all floors have not been working for months! otherwise ok

What can I say its a car park! As far as car parks go it's certainly one of the better ones. The entry way was clean and clear, the pay machines were all working and although one of the exit barriers was faulty I was still able to leave and someone was fixing it as I left. Be aware that as of today (26/04/2022) the pay machines appear to all be card only.

Brilliant car park if you're looking to charge your electric car as theres 2 completely free chargers up by the exist on the first floor. That said, they're usually occupied during the day so I wish they'd add a few extra!

Good car park but beware a lot of places are designated to businesses.the notice wi say 65 places on floor x but they are then all reserved. I went onto floor 5 after spending ages going round all the other floors parked and came back to find a £35 fine plus £8 to park as I had not seen the sign. I wouldn't mind if I had taken someone's space but the entire floor only had 4 cars on it!

The car park still looks relatively new but is being neglected unfortunately. There are lots of available spaces, so maybe the prices should be reduced to attract more visitors. There are boarded up windows, the car park floor needs to be cleaned and the lifts were out of order. I find it strange that a new car park still uses only tickets and not a smart app like others in Swindon.

Avoid using this car park if you are an employee using the auto-car registration number plate system. The staff are terribly unhelpful and will do absolutely nothing to help you through the barrier. Swindon Borough Council refused to allow me to exit the car park without paying for a ticket because their records were not updated through my employer to prove I paid the yearly allowance to use the car park. I phoned my HR department and was confirmed the full yearly fee was paid and I should be allowed access to and from the car park. I was late picking my son up from pre-school because they refused to let me go and was extremely upset.I held on the phone to the Borough council office for nearly 20 mins before security came and booked me a fine (refusal to pay parking) which I appealed. I was humiliated and penalised with absolutely zero help or understanding from the council office/car parking staff and security.Plus, on a more seriously note; un-disirrables sleep/congregate under the stairwell of the car park and smoke (often canabis) and play loud music or beg for money. This is absolutely unacceptable, especially with young children or families using the car park, yet I have used the car park for 2 years and have seen no effort from the security (or police) to move them on.
