Popped in for a few items. No self-service tills working. Just one person on checkout and she was dealing with a returns. Joined the long queue, waited, gave up and went to Homebase instead.God knows how this place makes a profit.

Disappointing experience today and I have used this store dozens of times. I understand the need to check age restricted items however I’m 42 and the elderly woman on the checkout would not sell me a grout knife as I didn’t have ID to prove I’m over 18. On no planet do I look under 18; I haven’t been ID’d for over 20 years. I left and bought all my items (£300+) at Wickes instead. Take your ID regardless of your age incase you get some employee on a power trip at the checkout.

Walk up to pay for my goods. Card or Cash" I'm asked. Card I reply. "Go ahead and scan for yourself" I'm told. Gentleman behind me is asked same question and replies cash.In the time I've scanned two items and paid the other gentleman has been personally served and is walking towards the exit.I can't for the life of me accept that self scanning in a DIY store is not disrespectful towards its customers. I want a business to be grateful for my custom. An hour later I am in Chesterfield Wickes and the young lady greets me with a smile and thanks me once I've paid. That's professional

I have just ask a simple question from the manager and he gave me a wrong direction for finding the product and was extremely aggressive. That’s not how staff should treat the customer .I’m so disappointed!

Handy store in a great location and ample parking space for DIY and Tradesmen.Store in massive inside and each aisle is numbered and brief summary of what's down there. I used the wood cutting service which was overlooked by happy and cheerful chappie.Prices are quite reasonable. Staff ever so friendly and professional in the interaction with customers like my self.Check out staff friendly, cheerful and once again professional.Overall a great shopping experience.

Went in looking for some kitchen supplies. There were no staff to be seen on the shop floor and no prices for products around the showroom. I walked around the entire shop floor to see a few members having a chat by the tills, when I asked for assistance, they told me to find someone sat by a desk near kitchens/bathrooms.I went to find an old lady called Julie, she said I can just look around the showroom and there’s no brochures or prices she can give me. No colours or price labels on the panels I was looking at, I couldn’t even search them online. When I took some samples to ask her details for she sat at a computer ALONE and said she was busy. Waited 30 minutes, she didn’t bother acknowledging the fact we were stood waiting. She was very rude, kept giving us the side eye, walking away etc. I ended up leaving and going to Wickes. Their services are much better and staff are professional. Their products are of great quality.Happily I’ve finalised my kitchen with Wickes.

Great big DIY store. Helpful staff. Good selection. Likely not the cheapest place but nice to see a selection of stuff Vs in a catalogue.

Seriously hadn't been to B&Q for 10 years! Now I'm a B&Q addict!!!! Reasonable prices, easy to find items, helpful staff, well organised during the current covid 19 situation. Spacious store. Lots of inspiring ideas as you walk around! Something for everyone. Plants, barbecue's, tools, paints, kitchen bins, cookers, flooring, curtains, cushions, garden furniture and MUCH more. No toilets or cafe during the pandemic. Please remember to respect staff at this particular time. Lots of car parking and large trolley available for big items. Enjoy!

It’s a shame that this is one of only a few b and q s left that serves the sheffield and Rotherham area. There is a decent range of products and you can have a look before you buy which is a big advantage over online or screwfix / toolstation. Their paint range is really good. They provide a cutting service for sheet materials. Garden section isn’t too bad either. There is also a decent tool hire section. One negative Iv noted on most visits. The human operated till needs more human operators. Seems there is more demand to use these then self serve.
